Umm, if you would care to read the post date, you would see that DotD- Crypt is in fact the first map to use the graveyard design, and that the rest (besides Eyeless Sid's "Grave Yard", which was forged with my permission) are in fact rip offs of it. Please get your facts straight before you accuse me of stealing map ideas.
First of all I cannot really reply on these maps because I honestly don't know if you created them. The first map looks so familiar if not a fixed up version of another map called Graveyard by Eyeless Sid. The entrance to the tunnels looks exactly like the entrance to the tunnels of Graveyard except a few missing Fence walls. If anyone has seen Graveyard tell me if this does not look like exactly like it. Well if you did create these maps they look good. Great Interlocking and Geomerging.
Gosh, do I need to keep saying this? For those of you who doubt the originality of these maps: CHECK THE RELEASE DATE! As for the similarity with Eyeless Sid's "Graveyard", that occurred because the tunnel systems on "Graveyard" are the exact same ones I built for "DotD- Crypt". I gave Eyeless permission to edit my map, and he did an excellent job. You might have realized that I co-forged "Graveyard" with Eyeless if you saw that I POSTED IT!
yeah i played these maps and they are a lot of fun and im pretty sure Jester knows what hes talking about so get all ur facts straight b4 accusing him.... other then that i really like these maps, me and my friends spent a lot of time playing them for awhile
Ever since downloading these maps, I have been using them in my Custom Game Nights to great success. However, I have received consistent complaints about two problems on the maps. I thought I would share them with you so that you will be able to edit them. The first problem is that the human players on Crypt can stack up against the side wall nearest the edge of the map and jump off into the blocked out area. Many players have been complaining that this hampers the gameplay, giving the humans a massive advantage and making the game less enjoyable for the zombies. The second problem I found involves the elevators on District. When human players rush to the elevators at the start and get into the top room, the zombies have little to no chance of being able to get them down in any reasonable amount of time. This tends to drag out the game, which generally makes people want to quit. With those pieces of information in mind, I'd like to say that you did a FANTASTIC job on making these maps. My criticism comes from a completely constructive viewpoint, so I hope that you will use it to make these maps even better than they are now. Oh, and I almost forgot, GJ GRATZ ON TEH MAPZOR 1337 INTERLOKZ 5/5 FTW!!!
Me and jester did in fact correct the issues in the "Crypt" by making a version 2 of the map called "Grave yard" the gametype evens out the two teams and the outer wall is larger to keep players in the playing area. I highly reccomed you look at "Grave yard" in my sig me and jester redid "Crypt" and improved on it alot and I can say the second version you'll enjoy more with a church instead of a shack and the weapons are edited as well to even out the gameplay. Also theres a front gate and more destructable objects in the second version.[Grave Yard]
Has this thread been posted beforebecause i saw on FH a few months back and i downloaded crypt and District, theyre okay but i think that crypt was the best one because the tunnel system was best for gameplay.
