Not very good with words on your map threads?
Well that's where we come in.

To wrap it up in a nutshell, you submit to us your map and we write up a description for it.

As of now its still in the development stages but it'll progress as to how it works. Right now, nothing is in concrete. Right now is just to see if it's something that people will use. If not, that's fine as we're just here to help.

Well, we've been seeing some great maps that lack an equally good descritpion. We decided to create a group that would help out those guys who aren't very good with words. Co-Creators are myself and JAYc, he suggested it to me and we began to talk and devise how it'd work, which still isn't finalised. I then suggested it to Pegasi Delta and he too really liked the idea, so with the support of a Journalist I decided that I would make it .

So, what you do is to submit to us your map, whether it is published or not, and we will play some games on it and write up the description in your post. You can say what you want in your description, whether you want a:
    • Overall Description
    • +Weapon/equipment list
    • +Description on Gameplay
    • +Description on Layout
    • How detailed you would like it, whether you'd like just a paragraph or two, or a full on essay.
    • If you'd like us to emphasize on a certain feature of your map, such as Gameplay or Layout, Etc.
The history and creation of the map is not for us to write as it isnt our map.

This was done to help out some of those guys not so great with their words. If we write something up for you we do appreciate acknowledgement, if it's either putting in a thanks to us in your post or just sending us a message saying so.

If you're interested in joining let us know here. A few rules of membership is you must have a past history of detailed posts. If you request to join, we shall go through your last ten pages of posts and make our desicion accourdingly.

A few rules when writing up map descriptions:
    • Not go into complements but to describe the map in third person, so you aren't to say stuff like "You've made this bit so that it..." but instead "This bit here has been made in a way that it..." you get what I mean. Talk in third person about the map.
    • To follow what the user has asked for.
    • Not to trash their map.
    • Do not write large walls of text.
    • Be knowledgable of the english language and of proper grammer and sentence structure
    • If you find any problems with the map, let the user know.
    They're the rules so far.
Also, just because you've written the description to the map that doesn't mean you cannot post your thoughts on the map in its thread.

So this is kind of similar to reveiw teams but we aren't reveiwing it, we are documenting it. To help the user in their post and to hopefully help them with their map's success/attention. A well thought out thread in most cases will result in well thought out posts.

I have been searching the map forums for people that have been giving detailed comments. Those people have been contacted via visitor message. If you have been contacted, please reply back answering yes or no to whether you would like to join. If we have missed you and you would like to join, send either me or Linubidix a PM telling us why you want to join and we will have a look at some of your posts.

    ^^^ What he said.

    Or post here.

Also, Pegasi or any mods who join in the future. They have my permission to edit any of our descriptions in maps if there are any grammar or spelling errors.

But first thing to do is to get people to notice this.

I am also interested in doing reviews. But I think we should mainly do map descriptions.

Well if you want to do reveiws then there's nothing stopping you.
Do it by yourself or try and join a reveiw team.
I don't want to create a reveiw team though.

If youve seen my recent comments. Youll see the detailed replies Ive given recently. And I definitely know how to "describe" a map.

If you want an example, give me a map and Ill write up a short description for it. Id love to help out the community more.

Linu, you've gotta update this with the social group. And add me as a member. Then people will know that Im working here too.

Oh yeah, Id rather do an example first instead of asking people if I can on their map thread.

I don't think people are going to see this enough for it to take off. We might have to offer it to people more directly.

Done, social group and members are now updated.
Yeah, that was my main concern when starting this.

This is a really good idea, I'm glad you guys thought to do this, as some people...just...don't know how to write their map threads up...I know for a fact Linou, Jay, Pegasi, and Sentinel can write up some amazing stuff...(No offense Smeagle, just never seen a map write-up by you.) and I'm sure you will please people with your work. If only this were to receive more attention. Then I'm sure the newer members would be all over you guys.

    <3 you all. Thanks.

I don't need you to write up a whole post, but for some reason I can never get to Bungie from my moms place (maybe the IP I got with this new internet was banned?) so would you guys be able to just get me the links to the maps on my fileshare, and maybe save the screenshots I take (I'll try to take as few as possible) and then I can do the rest. I'll do everything later today if you guys are up for this

    Thanks for the Bump Tex.
I was a bit iffy on letting Smeagle (.Core at the time)in as I'd barely seen him post a map or post on maps. And I read his guide/description on the difference between symmetrical and asymmetric maps which was was well written. If it weren't for that, chances are he wouldn't have been let it.

    Damn, Jay. You speedy man.
