Cold Fusion

My map is called Cold Fusion, it's a solid map for CTF,ASSAULT,KOTH,TEAM SLAYER, and VIP games.

Features: 1- Insane jump ramps, each vehicle gets major air, especially the chopper, it can fly!

2- Vehicle combat map = Lots of vehicles including: 3 hogs, 2 Wraiths,2 Hornets, 2 Banshees,2 Prowlers,5 Gooses, and 1 Ghost.

3- Lots of weapons and good placement of them, power weapons have long respawns so the vehicle combat can shine more.

4- Floating defense platforms that act as, machine gun nests ,sniper posts, and anti-vehicle posts.

5- Teamwork is encouraged on this map. Some of the better weapons like the Banshee and Fuel Rod Gun can only be reached by using teamwork. Example: The hornet pilot has to drop you off to get the banshee, that's the only way to get to it.Hoorah!

6- Interesting features like a mini maze inside the cave,grav lifts that help you reach hard to get power weapons,a long covered bridge that provides cover to flag or bomb carriers who are under attack on there way to or from a certain base,a gun turret that fires through a glass sheild, protecting him from attackers, and much more to discover.


It utilizes the whole map and even some areas outside the usual boundaries.I attempt to force people to use teamwork somewhat in this map to get to some of the better weapons, for example floating at the edge of each cliff is a platform with a banshee and a fuel rod gun that you cant get to unless a teammate drops you off with their hornet.Also u have to work for some of the other power weapons if u want them, example: by using grav lifts to get on a floating defense platform that carries a missle-pod and a sentinel laser on each side of the map. there are also floating defense platforms with machine gun turrets that will help destroy incomming vehicles or spartans. Im not going through a list of all the weapons like some do, i'll just say there's a nice selection on this map, and the power weapons like pods and turrets have long respawns so vehicles can stand a chance.I hate getting lasered every 10 seconds in my hog just as much as the next guy, so if u like vehicle combat, and teamwork this map will suit u fine.Almost forgot to mention the cave area which I enhanced really nicely, theres a maze with the flamethrower inside and a few other suprises. Almost forgot to mention the cool vehicle jump ramps and alternate escape brindge that provides good cover in a hot pursuit situation! We'll I think i've gone over most of the best stuff so i'll let my PICS do most of the talking from here, if i can even figure out how to get them here lol. Just trust me on this , THIS MAP IS LOADED AND SOLID!, I just didn't throw this together in a few mins, thats for sure.So "PLEASE TRY THIS MAP OUT AND TELL ME WHAT U THINK. I APPRECIATE IT A LOT! Yes these ramps = Insane air! Think this is high? wait till u see how high the chopper goes! Choppa!





Interior cave view. In mid air is grAv hammer with camo, ghost spawns in caVe and choppa! is located in the crates. Mini maze which houses the flamethrower leads into crates and to choppa! lol... Also a missle pod on top that u have to find a grav lift to get to.








Each side has 1 of the floating defense platforms, that holds sniper rifle and other goodies like the fuel rod gun and banshee that are atop the platform, you have to get a buddy to drop u off from their hornet to get these weapons on top. Yes it's called teamwork people! Not as common as u would think in Halo.... O yea lol the turret owns because u can shoot through the glass and use glass as a shield! Hooraaah! Or shoot any would-be aces out of the sky with the plasma pistol located here and watch them fall to an amusing,most satisfying icy death! Woot! =) If u play ASSAULT on this map the bomb plant areas will be located on these platforms, which makes for 1 intense game, imagine shooting a hornet with an enemy bomb carrier down with the plasma pistol and watching them fall down the cliff! Can u say Bungie Favories!?








This last shot shows 1 side of the map. Note the floating machinegun turret defense post that you teleport and go flying to! Rocket launcher is located here too.In the distance you can see the floating platforms. The 1 i already exsplained. The other 1 holds a missle pod and the sentinel beam as you can see, also a br and gun sheild. Ya thats me owning over there, atleast owning some imaginary spartans! =/ Anyway you can either use a grav lift to get up there or get a pal to drop u off with the Hornet. yes once again this map encourages teamwork! Hoorah! both sides have these features. Note the active camo below the ramp.1 last thing ramps have a fusion coil on them so 1 good shot when a vehicle is going up ramp will send it skyward hardcore style, maybe even off the cliff!



Well thats about it, but I left a few suprizes, cuz suprizes rule don't they? lol.. IU'm sure if you read this far then your gonna get the map i hope. ;'(

Well thx for the comments , u did actually look around the whole map right? So what would u change about it? I would have made a bridge on both sides, but even with the unlimited $$ glitch i still ran out of item space . But it doesnt effect the game hardly, it makes for a good escape route for flag carries in a goose who are being chased by a hornet or something.Well alot of my friends said they like this map even more than Avalanche which is suprising to even me, considering Avalanche is the best map ever!!

 

Thanks for the replies guys, i appreciate it, but can u please rate this map out of 100% , i think thats more of a fair rating and more interesting since only the best map ever could recieve a 100% , but even a good map might get a 5 0ut of 5 so would it then be perfect? Also I would have made the bases off the cliffs bigger, but ran out of item space even with $$ glitch. ;'( Anyways it would be hard for a rocket to kill everyone on the platform, thats what the sheilds are for and its a tough to get an angle on the floating bases unless u get a hornet with a rocket guy on there.

This map is pretty good and I spent a lot of time and effort on this . Anyway all my friends love this map and I hope you will too, just give it a shot thanks.
