what are the 4 gametypes that come with the game? and are they going to put more gametypes through DLC? because 4 seems very little for this kind of game.
The gametypes are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Diamonds (flag) and an objective based gametype themed form VIP. I prefer less gametypes because it streamlines the game easier to peoples preferance, so maps will be enjoyed more. In Halo, there are some gametypes that are hardly ever played. Juggernaught? Oddball?
.....i love juggernaut...and oddball anyway are we aloud to make custom gametypes like in H3? ive checked but i couldnt find out.
All the stuff i have seen for Far Cry 2 suggests that you will not be able to make custom gametypes. Just the 4 that Matty mentioned. To be honest though they kind of cover all you really need. I do not think Oddball type game would work well in Far Cry 2 lol. Look hes in that forest!!! BURN HIM OUT!!!! Could be quite fun though
Yeah, many gametypes that Bungie uses only work for smaller environments that FarCry really doesn't seem to support. Oddly enough...an infection variant in FarCry could actually be fun though....and legitimately spooky. It'll never happen though.
An infection like gametype would be soooo cool in Far Cry 2. Set it at night and have the infected player with a knife and like 200% movement speed. So many people would get freaked out. Would be a lot of fun though. I guess to make it easier on the infected they should get some form of nighteye. Maybe that could be part of the infection.....
they shoudl just let us tweak a gametype just a little like more health, one hit kill this small little things could change gameplay so much and infectoin would be pretty crazy
Fewer gametypes is better because people like some more than others? I find that kind of silly. Plus what this does it also hinders the ability of people to enjoy the game who don't enjoy the game's core gameplay. I would have put down h3 long ago if I weren't able to play with settings there weren't the crappy default mm settings. This also puts a blanket on creativity in a different way (forge's cumbersomeness hinders layouts) so you can only design maps around four gametypes. Imagine how crazy an infection map designed around the variant in far cry could be, or a racetrack (lol), or some out of control mini-game. More options cannot possibly be a bad thing.
Well, you could probably spawn like one dude on one side of the map and the rest on the other, and he has body armor everywhere and they have weapons scattered about? Oh, and its foggy, raining, and the only thing you can see is the moon. Unless you decide to go pyro.
It looks cool and all, but I think i've ended my map maker phase... it's fun for like... a year, lol... so I might buy it if it's amazing, but otherwise no... it's just not a top priority, I'm goin for some GAW2 and that stuff... did you know u can blow up walls with grenades and crap.. it's gonna be freakin sweet
then dont play with unhonerary people find people that will play fare and will stick to the rules if you ask on Americans new site(not up yet) im pretty sure more then one person will play a game or 2 with you eric0 if you dont like the look of the game why are you here and talking about GoW2(which im not really hyped about)it looks fun but its going to lose its replay value the only thing i want to do is the single player then im done(dosent every game have destructable enviroments now? and if i was epicgames i would not do it because of BFBC best multiplayer and best deroyable enviorment......EVER) farcry2 has an amazing replay value with the open world and the MM GoW do's not
Don't worry guys, I'm sure Forge will continue, and Far Cry 2 is just a new beginning in the map making world.
The Map Maker from Far Cry 2 might be a lot more detailed than Forge but whether it will be backed up by a multiplayer that is as solid as Halo we will have to see. Personally i think that Halo will have the better multiplayer and thats a large reason of why Forge is so popular and this site exists.
Apparently you can makes maps not designed for multiplayer (having more than 6 vehicles in a map)....what would they be for then??
You can't publish a map with over 6 vehicles. The extra's are incase you want to mess about in the editor. This was said by the community developer, so don't go speculating because you will be wrong.
