new duck hunt by monkeyrantz Okay, so, we have all seen those sniping games where there is one or two people trapped in a cage while other people race to the custom powerup. Well, this is one of those maps. Not original, I know. It has been done before. I know. This one brings a better playing field to the arena. Thrown together in about 12 hours, this one features clean floors, interlocked walls, inescapable sniping rooms, a complete spawning of a whole new level. Like what you hear? Enjoy the sound of reading in your head? What does that noise sound like? Let's stay on topic here. The gametype features exactly what it should have. So don't worry about it. But you should. Read on: If you have five people or less, switch Initial Zombie Count to 1. If you have more than 5 people, put it at 2. It is more fair that way, unless your all pro snipe. Everyone has waypoints. You know where everyone is. Thats the way this is going to work. Humans (Ducks) Start with a plasma pistol and no grenades. Speed 90% and Gravity 150%. It works, trust me. You cannot hurt your teammates, and yes you do recover, just slowly. Ducks are gold, last man is red (enraged) it makes you stick out. This game is about patience and strategy. The goal: Snipers - Shoot those ducks before they can reach the BR. Humans (Ducks) - Get to the Custom Power Up and BR before you die and before your fellow ducks. When or if you reach it, shoot the Snipers as pay back. Hints: Snipers - Shoot at the person in front. They tend to be the ones winning. Humans (Ducks) - Hide behind cover and wait for your sheild to recover. Don't get cocky. Wait to use Bubble Shields in open areas. Don't go all at once. More people equals bigger target. Slow down! When or if you get the Custom Power Up, your speed highly increases, as the BR is at the end of a suspended bridge. Be careful. The Unfortunate Honor Rules. Because Cheaters Suck Balls. 1. Don't go under the sniper area. Its just stupid and ruins everyone else's fun. 2. Don't wait inside the base until Level 2 spawns. Especially if your already the Last Man Standing. It gets everyone pissed at you. 3. If you have a guest, don't just let them live. They are going to shoot you at the end anyway to kill you. This game was made for 4-12 players. More or less, thats just recommended. This is a simple fun game that is easy to love, and never let go. Embrace it. Sniping Room Where two or one shall spawn. If you don't know why you must have missed my huge wall of text. Please Read. Sniper Stupid duck killer hides in his box. Level 1 An overview. 1st Defense Systems Use them wisely. Also, be the first to grab them. They take a long time to spawn so don't try and wait. Running Through First Level (The cones show line of sight, be careful.) Second Floor First Level P.S. In my experience, all of the lifts have a 100% success rate. Now here is something unique. An inverted turn that you actually slide up. Simply put, just run up it. End of First Level (Go through Teleporter) Waiting Room When you reach the end of level one, you go to a room to wait until Level 2 spawns. This takes 3 minutes (When timer says 7:00 minutes remaining). Until then, the teleporter will be blocked. Occupied Did you think I would seriously put you in a hut with nothing to do? Teleport Method, Before This is very simple, I am just showing it so people who don't know, know. Teleport Method, After Grav Lift spawns, pushing Dumpster out of the way, which in turn, unblocks the teleporter. Level 2 An overview. Defense Uses for Level 2 As you can see, there are two bubble shields, and two overshields. If you are kind, leave one for someone else. If you are devious, take both. Overshields give you one extra shot before you die. Going Up Running up the ramp on Level 2. Final Elevation You are so close. It would be a shame to die. Recommendation: Save a Bubble Shield. The top wall is slanted. This map is pretty good. Does the zombie jump high or low, because he needs not be able to jump so he doesn't get out. 4/5 and DL.
I like the idea of the second half spawning over the first half, really creative. I'm d/l-ing right now.
Wow i know the idea isn't original but i still like it! i looks like it has very clean and neat interlocking and it's good that you put those honor rules up too! an i idea that the people don't stay in the base is spawn man cannons after a certain amount of time to push them out! 8.5/10!
This is by FAR the best duck hunt I have seen yet. This is very neatly interlocked and from what I see, there is no possible way to cheat. Another concept I saw was timed event. That is a good idea because it gives everyone a fair chance, and the sniper a few seconds of relaxation, which is need or else you find yourself dead fast. Overall the map is amazing, 5/5 and good rep for you my friend.
3/5. I've seen this many times before, It's not new... the map 'Ducks Can't Fly' uses the same basic layout and same idea... like 2 areas, and a room to wait in with things to occupy you with (instead of balls there is mancannons) and that dumpster is also in the same place!
The first level/second level idea is really creative. I can't say anything about gameplay because I haven't downloaded the map yet, but from the looks of it this will be fun. I like the usage of timed map events and interlocking. I think that it is safe to say that this is a perfected revised duck hunt map. I give a 5/5 for your post because you have persuaded me to download this.
Well there are a lot of these maps out there but few have a time delayed second level. So cookie for you. But still the same gameplay as before. Try and twist things up a bit and you'd have a great map/game. Despite the criticism for the rehash this is the best I have seen of this type.
exactly, there is no way to cheat which is something i made sure of, other maps there were small holes or jumps you could get across, this one is safe. thank you. this map was modeled after that one, it wasn't stolen though, as it was created completely from scratch. that one was sloppy and the lifts did not work all the time. this is pretty much a perfected version. good idea, maybe i will do that soon! thank you. i made this to replace the easily cheated, not very clean duck hunt would be replaced. right on.

This is the best one I've seen yet. It actually has interlocking, which means ur not a crappy-forge, fatkid-obsessed noob, and from what I can tell from the pics, it plays smooth, I will rate this after I play and comment further.
There are so many duck hunts these days, but none quite like this. The "second level" is very creative, and good call adding the soccer ball. The switchalthough simple, is effective, as is the upwards ramp. Final score: 5/5 Kudos to you for taking a seemingly ancient game, and adding a fresh new twist.
3/5 the map was decent, but alot of the parts in the map were crooked. Also cheaters could just hide, and wait for the big wall. I suggest making fusion coils so cheaters can't camp back there for the back wall.
the map isnt very crooked at all, download before you post. i made sure this was as straight as possible. although the fusion coils are a better idea than the man cannons (a suggestion by someone else).
I think hes referring to the second level, which does in fact have some crooked objects. I might actually revise my score to a 4/5. I think the fusion coil idea is also a good idea. Finalized Final Score (lol): 4/5
