I don't want to get racist.. but like 60% of Americans that ARE arrogant are black people. They're haughty and get pissed for no reason. But same with some white D Bags. Rednecks. They.. geez.. just geez. But yea like Jelly said. We the people of the United States of Ameirca need to all just chill the **** out. Smoke Weed.

    Holy crap....
First off.....60% of black people? Where do you live? I think you've been exposed to a very narrow group of people.

From my experience( I mainly play Cod4; which has more trash talk imo), Americans are the ones who get ridiculed in the games I've played. I'll admit, Americans can be assholes, but not all. I've jioned a game before and a British player immediately started shouting, " Fatass american! Just shut the **** up and leave!" .. And i realize that this goes both ways, back and forth but gamers should be considerate and not discrimate by nationality...

There are multiple things about the thread that tell me this person is not American. I could be wrong, but I don't think it is a coincidence that his mom has an illness and the person just so happened to make fun of the way he talked when he said "mum". Also, it seems like the person wanted to make it ABSOLUTELY clear that he is just an American that has a lot of foreign friends, which leads me to believe he is trying to cover up the fact he is actually foreign, or directly related to foreigners himself. The fact that he states "we" and "they" also is a sign that he is trying to separate himself and others, almost like "sides", when a statement such as "many of the American players" would have sufficed. Furthermore, after leading us to believe he goes into parties with multiple foreign friends by using the term "them" he later states he will send out chat invites which allows only two people to talk at a time, which would ruin the idea of going into games as a party in the first place. After reading the entire thread, it seems more of a complaint than a debate too, because it is overly obvious that it would be impracticable to ask companies to implement a mute button into games that have already been released whilst the majority of games being released are now using the mute button as a standard xbox live tool.

Besides my views of the person not being American in the first place (as it doesn't really matter who realizes the problem) I agree that most racist things that are said over xbox live include Americans, whether it be the attackers or the defenders. However, many people assume that just because Americans may be the wealthiest in the world (which we are surprisingly not, that title actually belongs to a middle eastern country) we start the fights more often. I personally think the situation would be the other way around if the majority of xbox live players were british. We just don't seem to get along when not face to face, especially when we are competing one another in a game, and the fact that there is somebody not like the rest of us makes them easy to intimidate, or fire up before or after the game.
