So i was sitting here creating a race track map in the pit, and this grenade spawns out of nowhere. I was the only one in this game (checked the in game list of players to be sure lol)
I've seen some videos on youtube of this happening on the Foundry and of bubble shields opening in one person games on Last resort. I've finally had my experience with a halo 3 ghost.
I've put the clip on my fileshare here: Ghost Grenade
    Crazy eh?

Yes, I have known about this for a year. It happened to me one time on sandtrap, random rockets were coming out of the sand's edge.

I wonder if it is a glitch in the game or if they actually ment for it to happen.
Earlier, i was trying to delete a spawn point but i couldn't delete or even move it, perhaps the ghost came from that? lol

That's just probably an temporary fault in game, I'm not sure about this, or it could be a glitch.

It could also be a bungie member watching you, my friend randomly heard someone die when he was one narrows by himself.

That is what i think, but speaking as a software engineer, i really dont know how a game could glitch in a way to make a sprite like that spawn mid-game.
From what i can tell, it only happens in forge mode and to all of the people it has happened to, it is usually a lit-fragGrenade object.
Like i said, i haven't acutally seen any game code, but i really dont know what would cause a game to glitch like this.

Maybe it's just an game fault in your disc?

Actually these were things from beta left in the game. The rockets on sandtrap that come out of the sky is actually a senetial beam. It was an early version of the barrier for sandtrap. Bungie left the wierd stuff like this is as easter eggs. You have to do a certain thing to unlock it. Bungie wont tell us how but people are finding more and more triggers. You can find the trigger for sandtrap on youtube easy.

Still, for this type of glitch to happen, the games code needs to, for some reason tell the game to spawn object X at location X with velocity X.
I dont see how their object spawn function would execute.
Things like that glitch when the function gets called by accident.
    Just dunno man

So the grenades here and foundry were the origional barrier ideas? pit got a fence and foundry got walls?
Wouldn't explain bubble shields on last resort though

Did you already contacted Bungie about this? I think you should. Just send them an E-Mail explaining what's wrong.

Cheya, but i was saying that the old barrier explanation wouldn't explain why bubble shields spawn in Last Resort. They would suck at stopping people lol

May just be a random easter egg.

On another note here is a quote from Halopedia explaining the sandtrap egg.

"A low textured Sentinel Beam (that normally stays at the spires but will rarely follow the player inside the map) is supposedly in control of when the Mines spawn. To best see this, drive a Hornet through the minefield, staying about 10 feet off the ground. When you see an orange-yellow laser beam, quit and go to Theater. In theater, follow the laser. You will see the that the laser originates from the spire furthest away from you. The other end has been reported to set off mines, however, this does not always seem to be the case"
