Okay so people were saying to make a sig that took some time and wasn't a popout so here is what 3 hours got me. Here is a V.2. I blurred the C4 on the left side and then I used the smudge tool to blend the render into it. V.3. I added some more white to make it so that it looks like it is his body fading away or kind of like a motion blur. V.4. I made it in color and I added some beaded lines and messed around with gradient maps. Also I did a bit more smudging and added some more brushes. Please tell me which color scheme is the best. Please give some CnC. Edit: For all you who haven't been helping me in the past the only reason I mention that it isn't a popout is because for a while I just did a bunch of popouts and people were getting sick of them.
While people were tired of them, they were much better then the one quoted. The c4d is way too far over the render, and it looks terrible the way it covers up the arms. C4ds are supposed to cover up only a little bit of the render to blend it with the background, if not none of it at all. Also, why the black and white? Add some color. Most black and white sigs are boring. Add a border. The part of the background that isn't a c4d looks like random brushes put together.
Okay... That was a little harsher than I expected but whatever. Your main thing was that the C4d when tonto the render too much. I did that on purpose because the arm just didn't look good on the sig and then I tried to cut it off but then he looked disfigured. So I decided to cover it. And I did black and white because the original render was black and white and I didn't wnat to change it. But if you insist on color I'll put a gradient map on but can someone give me a color.
Black and white is usually a terrible effect, and you should generally stay away from it. Smudge the C4D a little bit and possibly parts of the render. After the smudge of the C4D try copying the C4D again and erase parts of it while setting it to a different blend mode.
Yea, having that C4D on the left side also makes it seem really busy. I personally don't mind black and white signatures if done well. Like others, the main problem is the C4D on the left side being over the render and showing up prominently.
I made a V.2 with all your advice and I think it turned out pretty well. I didn't colorize it though because in the way I have it set up I would have to redo a lot to get certain places colored and so the only color would be a gradient map.
I like what you did, but it looks way too harsh. I think that it covers up the arms and just looks bad. Don't get me wrong, this is a great style to use, but you should edit it to make it a little less harsh.
Definetly better than your pop ups, keep trying to work on this technique, also try making a coloured version of this signature and add a 1 pixel border in black around it.
Okay so I posted a bunch of colored ones. I forgot the border but I'll do that once I figure out which colors to use. Personally I'm leaning towards the first one.
The beaded lines need to be erased around his face and by color we meant full color not just gradient maps. D:
Ugh... This might take some time for a V.5. Since I used quite a bit of applying images and such. Also the render was originally in black and white. I will also need to change the C4d colors since they didn't go with the render in color.
