Yukon Canyon Created by Furious D 18 Gametypes Supported: Faceoff Slayer, Faceoff 1 Flag, Faceoff 5 Plots Recommended Players: 4 2v2 Faceoff. Round Two. As the largest of the 2v2 Faceoff maps, Yukon Canyon will let you stretch your legs while you display your BR skill. This asymmetrical map takes up only about a quarter of Avalanche, but that’s still plenty of space for four people. You’ll find that communication, cooperation, and steady aim will be required to win on this map. Control the Canyon, and win the round. There are plenty of weapons and lots of equipment on Yukon. From the rockets, to the brute shot, to the sniper rifle, to the sentinel beam, there is a lot of firepower here. But all of the weapons have been carefully balanced against the number of BRs and carbines on the map. You’ll never be far from something useful. And that’s good, because players relying on the assault rifle that they spawn with will not last long on this map. The map itself is not much to look at, and you certainly won’t see anything special if you just look at the map in Forge mode. But the map really comes to life when you load up a custom match and start shooting. Oh, and one last thing: picking up the overshield on the map will activate a switch and cause a few extra things to spawn. For more information about the switch, read the blog post about Yukon Canyon. Good luck to everyone involved in the 2v2 Faceoff. Get training. Damn Furious is amazing, every map he makes is just great, and this is no exception, great job on the map. Lovin the F H thing, reall looks cool, wish i could get meh sexbox back so i could play it
Ah sweet! This looks so awesome! To bad I'm not in the 2v2 Tournament. But, I just love the idea of this map and the concept. I think it deserves to be tasted by the FORGETRON. It eats all the super awesome maps. It says it is YUMMY! I think it may come back for seconds. Anyways, you get the idea: YUKON CANYON SUPER COOL!!!
Looks cool, downloaded. It also looks like a good sniper map considering the various platforms and things
for some reason this map dosn't appeal to me, i mean, i know that its very well made, but it dosn't look to fun. but i'll haveto play on it so, ya sorry
How come you guys' maps are always featured, is it some kind of perk, i know it is. But anyway, i like how you guys have like the FH in the energy wall, it looks cool.
Dont forget to check out the Blog Furious made about this map also. It shows a prettg ood overview layout as well as man cannon routes, weapon/vehicle placement, and other random useful tidbits! Great work Furious, truly epic map.
Amazing! I absolutely LOVE this map. You know, ever since I started forging I wanted to make a fun map on a map other than foundry, but I never got around to it. This is what you call a fun map. I love how he extended the base with bridges, and all that other junk. That's exactly what I've been wanting to do. Looks like you beat me to it. =(
The people here just continually amaze me with their ignorance and inability or unwillingness to read or do anything for themselves. Oh well. As I've said before in every chance I've ever gotten, this map is a ton of fun and is one of my favorite Avalanche maps yet, next to LIGHTSOUT225's Coldfront. It doesn't look like much at first, but once you play a game of one flag on this map, you'll be instantly hooked. Good work Furious.
The pictures are a lie just like the cake. You will love this map for its gameplay. Don't be too quick to judge from the pictures as most are prone to do. Download it, play it, and then give and honest opinion. I garuntee you won't be dissapointed, I wasn't. You don't get out much. If you actually paid attention to what's been going on then you might have noticed this whole 2v2 tournament thing. I think we forgot to tape the memo to your forehead or something, my bad G, my bad. Anyways, this is a 2v2 tournament map and it gets featured so that all the other people like you might notice that a new map has been released. Here's the memo, consider it taped to your forehead. This map has just been released. You play it several times with the apporpiate gametypes before giving your opinion. That's how opinions are validated. Some tests, then opinion. Not: Analyze pictures, offer worthless opinion. Check his blog. For the rest of you haters out there, go pro-forge yourself. This map is awesome and I think it has better gameplay than at least half of all the featured maps. That maybe a bold statement, but I prize Fun Factor > Wow Factor.
Lol. If i saw this map posted by some person who had just joined on forgehub, i would say that it is empty, rather plain and it looks rather messy with a lack of interlocking. I would also say that i liked the FH sign tho. Atleast i give my honest opinion here.
unfortunately, your honest opinion doesnt mean **** until you actually play it. at least im being honest
