Long time in the making this map has been. Finally Done. Perpetuate - Download here An Experimental weapons combat testing and storage facility A three story long corridor map with bases on either end, an large open area with flying debris in the middle and hallways inside the main walls. Use the fragile catwalks at your own risk if you wish to avoid rampant debris being blown around the combat arena but be mindful of other paths allowing more dangers to approach. The idea for this map came from all those wind tunnel maps that were around a while back. Always wondered if a competitive version could be made so I got to work. Had to make the flying objects a bit smaller cause dying by dumpster isn't really good for an objective game type. But I think this works well. Set up for all game types but best for team games of 2v2 up to 4v4. Try Multiflag CTF for intense competitive play or Team King for a good mix of insanity and tactical team work. Weapons list (not counting the ones in the storage lockers cause you cannot get those) Battle Riffle - X8 (2 on bottom level of each base behind each stair case leading to second floor of Bases, 1 in each single open box before walking onto Pallet Catwalk) Assault Rifle - X4 (2 in each base leaning against the single walls on either side of the fencewall window) SMG - X4 (2 next to each other centre of each pallet catwalk) Spiker - X4 (2 on opposite side of the barriers from each base) Sniper Rifle - x2* (Bottom Level of each Base opposite Flag return) Shotgun - x1 (Centre of main area) Plasma Grenade - x8 (1 on top floor just before the pallet catwalks on either side of main area from each base, 1 on bottom floor near each entrance to each base) Frag Grenade - x8 (1 just inside entrances to each base top and bottom floors) Flying Debris List: 9 road cones 2 propane tanks 2 barrels. Pics: Version 1 floor plan. there area few changes, majority of which are on the top floor. The hallways are longer and the landing above the stairs is shorter. The Crane got in my way. Red team Base marked by A signs in the walls, also in the entrance to the hallways from the pallet catwalks. I'll certainly be checking this out asap. The flying objects was a feature I always wondered whether it was just for mini games, or does it suit for anything else? It seems quite apparent that it indeed can work well for competitive gameplay. I like the use of propane tanks as the flying objects and not dumpsters as they'd eat up a lot of space. Pallet cakewalks were also a nice addition. Recently pallets havent been used that much for geometry, so its cool to see a revival of that. The sides of the hallway were looks like they'll be great in-game. One thing I ask for is the weapons list please. I am intrigued by this map, I am looking forward to when I get an opportunity to play on it.
WOW!!!!!!! this map is VERY VERY good and has nice interlocking... i like how you made a bridge or platform out of pallets, and you made the spawn out creatively. good job! 5/5
Looks like one of those maps that could keep me and a couple friends of mine busy all night, just playing it over and over again, mainly because there are flying objects that can come out of nowhere and kill you.... Annnnd it just looks like a fun map too play ctf on. overall, a very nice job
Well if it isn't about god damn time. I have it qued, I have to get a game in on the son of a *****, since all we did was forge through. From the pictures, I saw another jump added. That's good, If it is where I was thinking needed another jump. And OMFG it looks like you broke breakability. Great job. And if people can still break out of the map, tell them to just piss off, who cares if you can break a god damn map? What good does that do anyone? Anyways, as I said, qued, will get a game in, and get back to you possibly with some constructive criticisms.
Convulse managed to get out. But it's in an area that you cannot do it accidentally so if someone does it in game they are blatantly cheating. Doesn't really give them much of an advantage anyway lol. Linubidix, thanks for reminding me about the weapons list. Added to the first post.
Great job, man. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this. When you say storage lockers you mean like an area you can see which has a whole mess of weapons stacked up right? I tell you, having the ascetics of an armoury without being able to abuse or use the weapons in it is sheer ****ing brilliance! Can I say that? Never heard anything about language here, so if it is bad to say the above word, please don't -rep me =D. Awesome map 5/5.
As you go up the stairs from the bases to the third level hallway, look to your left or right (depending on which side you're on) away from the main area of the map. I noticed on someone else's map a while back, they had a rocket launcher inside a Fence box. Spent half the game trying to get it. But it cannot be done. So I used it lol.
This looks amazing no lie, very creative, and close quaters; very good. Its small but has the feel of being spacious and organized, with lots to do, looks great, ill check it out for sure, 5/5. Can you get out of your base near the window panel?

No, that's why I put two there. Also on a side note, one of the bars on the window is right at head hight perfect to block a sniper head shot.
Vewwy nice, I remember seeing this in the early stages of forging, and it's nice to see that you decided to finish it, because, as with Linu, I've always wondered whether flying debris can work in a competitive map. I'll try and get in on Tex's game if possible, if not, I'm sure I'll end up playing it at some point lol. Also, along with a weapon list, how about a flying **** list? lol.
