guess what... no one likes you or agrees with you. if they arent boycotting then what are they doing?

BTW heres the defenition of boycott: To abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with as an expression of protest or disfavor or as a means of coercion.

I'm for the LTG on that day. Playing on its anniversary isn't making a difference.

what makes playing halo on its "birthday" so special? its a fake, animated, man made thing, it is important for us to show that we aren't stuff-centered, prove that we aren't just people who only play video games all the time, and live to just sit around and play it. do you understand? and that would be really lame if you give any of the people who agree with me, or me bad rep just because we disagree with you.

September 25 is a Thursday. If Bungie does not support LTG or is incapable of adding that feature into the game, I bet they'll counteract the boycott by incorporating some sort of special anniversary DoubleXP weekend.

Then again, the boycott just lasts one day and the fans have three more days to play it.

It might be hard to celebrate Halo 3's anniversary without playing, but then again we can all hang out at Forgehub.
I do support lower the Guns.

Woah! Look at all the haters on both sides! Personally, I support Lower The Guns. One, because I like good quality machinima and two, because my plans for making machinima could be executed much easier. This is not an argument of, "OMG U DONT WANT PLAY HAL0 3 ON B-DAY U EVIL HOE!" or of, "U DONT HAVE FRENZ CUZ U DONT WANT LOWER TEH GUNZZZZZ". This is an argument of wether you want to have a better machinima or not.

    My opinion is this:

Bungie has been gratious enough to give Machinima makers the tools to make high quality Machinima. It was limited for a reason I'm sure. Bungie has heard the voice of Lower the Guns already (along with the Bnet mods who apparently have too), and I'm sure they'll respond accordingly. I don't see a reason to not play on September 25th. Bungie is a reasonable group that listens to their community.

You're seriously retarded, the machinima makers are not playing it on a notable date because they want to be able to lower their guns online in order to make the machinima making process easier and better. They're not saying, "we hate halo" and they are not boycotting the game until they get what they want, they just want to bring notice to something they want.

Learn how to spell and read.

The Lower the Guns campaign needs to be heard and noticed to stand a chance of being successful. A boycott on halos birthday will get more attention than just a video. We are talking about it right now because of the boycott. Would this thread have been created if there was only a video? Without a boycott there is much less attention. It isn't a threat to bungie, it isn't an insult to bungie, it is simply a means of drawing attention and it appears to be doing well.

    yomtvraps fix your attitude.

I'm Switzerland in this. I don't care what actually happens. I do not watch Machinima often, but then again, I don't play MM a lot either. I'll just throw out some facts and stuff.

I will admit, however, that the only problem with the LTG campaign to give players the ability to lower their guns on XBL is that Bungie has stated Halo 3 isn't the type of game that you can simply change some of the coding in, or something like that.

But I don't want to say that the LTG's campaign is a waste of anger and time though, because Bungie did change the melee system once, simply because they listened to their fanbase. But then again, everybody was complaining, not just the Machinima group. If LTGs does receive enough attention, then Bungie will probably add that ability to XBL.

    That's my 2 cents.

hey no need to be a downer here, but im an avid bungie.net user, and unless all of you NEVER BOTHER TO READ THEIR FORUMS. They CANNOT, AND THEREFORE WILL NOT MODIFY ANY EXISTING CODE/SETTINGS IN THE HALO 3 FORGE/CAMPAIGN. The only thing bugie changes from now on is their matchmaking playlist, and their upcoming map pack. Even Bungie Cannot modify their game, they could, but that would mean shipping out a completly new game disk. As far as I amm concerned, the LTG Campaign is pointless, of course youll get some peoples attention. but for ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. Bungie can't do anything about it. Im sorry.

And if you havent read the friday weekly update, there is NO NEW FORGE, NO BOTS, NOTHING NEW COMING OUT. except for playlist updates, and the new map pack. (yes theres a map pack, and no theres no new foundry or full sandbox)

P.S. Sorry for all the super caps lock there, i just hate people who dont bother reading into the deep parts of bungie.net before posting theyre boycotting it. im Sry... :(

ok, to debate like a reasonable, and mature person, you dont call everyone who disagrees with you stupid, that's the first sign of immaturity, and now very little people who read this thread will actually take you seriously.

lol ur right because cheif wiggum is a very serious name. lol. I never called everyone stupid. where did you see that??? You might wanna change your name to Chief Lembit. Anyway, no one has provided a valid point for why theyd boycott on halos birthday, other than some unfixable code.
