I think it was pretty obvious that China would try something ridiculous like this. Chances are that people will be finding more things like this as the games go on...
Also the streets around the stadiums and events are mostly deserted unlike when the Olympics were in Australia and Greece. There just isn't the same atmosphere as there was at other Olympics
Australia FTW! There could be a reason for that, it was found that in the shooting events, judges were calling hits for Chinese competitors where it had clearly been a miss, so you never know what else could be faked... Erm... there were only 3 REAL drummers... rest were fake...

Wow, that truly saddens me. She had a chance to become loved and awed by billions of people, but ****ing china. What the ****. That is PATHETIC. It makes me terrified that china is cheating on so much as an opening act. They(remember, these are my assumptions, they are not proven) probably faked ages too. I was watching the womans gymnastics with my mom, and the oldest age is 16. A girl comes out, who has like 4 lost teeth, and looks like she's 10. BAM! 16... The American announcers even touched upon her appearance that she looked way underage. They put her there because she was better. There was maybe one person on that team that looked 16. It was sad. They try to make an appearance so they make an impact on the world, but they only be known as idiots who cheated just to look good. Good job china! You deftinately made yourself look a lot better! Oh and Mallet, yes I also agree with you. I live in america and we have game shows that if your ugly you're kicked out, and they put it on TV! Seriously, the world if screwed up. When I grow up, I'm going to move to Canada or England. The two safest places on the planet! And that was my true opinion.
Of course the American culture will choose a beautiful talented adult musician over an "ugly" adult musician. Were the singer an adult, the matter would have been brushed aside much quicker, but the singer happened to be a child. Its just dissapointing, regardless of what country was responsible.
Thats true but i think America would do the same .. But why did they kick the ugly child out for a not so ugly girl ..? I mean even if she was ugly people will think aww so cute how small she is and how good of a singer she is .. Not just say shes ugly and say the whole ceremony is ruined because shes ugly ..

This is hilarious! nobody even saw the girl unless you watched on TV, and they didnt do any close ups on her face during the TV special, so it would have worked only because its not a language that any other country speaks. BUT somebody had to gossip, and let it slip. good job china! ruining every childs life 1 child at a time!
