I highly agree with you, I really think we should email bungie or something picking a few un-noticed maps from forgehub and asking for another week, as we definately have the best maps.
i think the first screenshts cool, thats it . the maps are aweful, all 1 out of 5 here at the hub. one video, i thought was funny. the rest was garbage. i dint even download the gametypes.
These are the worst maps ever, I think the fifth picture was ok, but I could do better. But the funny thing is a halo school posted them. Obviously they don't teach forge there.
Look, guys. The Bungie Favorites aren't about the maps, or the screenshots, or the games, or the film clips. It's about showing to the general Halo playing community about what kind of specific communities that there are. That's also the prime reason why the Humpday is played.
well i somewhat agree with this statement. before bungie started picking groups to do this though, Bungie Favorites was all about the maps, the screenshots, the games, and the film clips. They picked all the stuff that they really liked, and/or was really fun. basically the stuff that popped out to bungie. but giving groups the decision to choose does kind of show you what type of communities are out there. and by what stuff they choose for faves shows you if you would like that community or not. but for most people, it's not about the communities, it's about the custom content.
For one, there's HBO, which I know for a fact reaches at least into the hundred-thousands. Plus, it's not fair if we're the only one that gets featured in the Bungie Favorites all the time. It'd show that no matter what you do, your community isn't going to be talked about on Bungie because this other one is so big and powerful. You have to look at it from the outsider's perspective, not just one for FH.
I don't understand. They do it by groups now but there are maps much more worthy of Bungie favorates. Evan on a skill group like the one now, the maps are all dissapointing. Its like they were made by somebody who plays COD4. They could easily pick amazing maps like minigames whether there on forgehub or not. Bungie fav sucksbecause of the groups.
It's not about the ****ing maps! That's the first thing you need to understand here. It's about showcasing a community, in this case the 'Halo 3 Academy', and helping them get newer members. For an example, many people hadn't even heard of Halo Tracks until Bungie talked about them and put them up on the Bungie Favorites.
like i said earlier... it USED to be about the custom content. but i have to agree with Nemi here, NOW it's about the groups. Bungie Favorites is just a way to show people what kind of groups/communities there are out there, and the faves are just a little taste that they use to try to lure you in. although... i wish it would still be about the custom content...
When it was about the custom content, screenshots like a guy shooting a laser at the air would get favorited because he got all of his friends to dl it from him.
I just saw a screenshot in bungie favorites with a regenerator with a bad green fade and a spartan starting to throw a spike grenade. Apparently its supposed to be an Olympics reference, but it just looks terrible ^Oh yeah, nice new avatar^
well in that case it has let me know that I do not want to join the Halo 3 Academy (jk). Even if it is about showcasing other communities it's still called the Bungie Favorites. Therefore people still expect very high quality stuff from it. I say they should either change the name or go back to the old way of choosing what is featured.
