The 100 Foot Fort

    Map Title: 100 Foot Fort
    This map is based upon two forts that are long and are only 2 stories high

    Game Type:The Game Type used for this map is CTF or Slayer no specific settings are needed just default is fine. NOTE: this map is only set up to play CTF and Slayer

    Number of Players:2 Teams of 3 to 6 players.

    Description:
    The 100 Foot Forts are 2 very long and narrow forts. Divided by a tall wall in the middle that makes it so vehicles must go around but infantry can go through a shield door. [​IMG]
    The forts have a second story that is open with little cover(Bridge with Turrets) and the flag lies far back in the fort(By the barriers). The exit(bottom Right) goes out to a warthog and 2 mongooses. The man cannon shoots you on the outside of the opposing team's fort, at that location you can find invisibility or over shield depending on the side you are on.

    This is an overview of on side of the map. In the bottom left you see the speed bump to prevent fast get a ways with the flag in a vehicle. At the left middle (where the part of a shield door is seen) is where the man cannon (the one not shown in this image) leads. On the high walkway that goes from the middle of the image to the top right is the sword walkway. At the gravity lift that leads up to that hallway is a sniper rifle. At the bottom right where you see a trip mine is actually supposed to be an open box with the trip mine inside.

    In this image the open box with the shield door is the short cut between the bases. This makes it so the flag carrier has some where to go without a vehicle, but if the base is guarded well enough the flag carrier should never make it past the shield door.

    I'm new here so if I made a mistake in posting my map please tell me what is wrong.

    I suggest taking a look at the Forging 101 section, at the main page.
    And I suggest straightening out some objects, aswell.
    From what I can see, the layout has potential, and the would've had potential too, if it was better Forged, This could be fun in Casual, but Competitive, no.
    Maybe take a look at some guides for weapon and grenades placement and such, and then, make a V2.

    Dude that isn't 100 feet. =( I thought it would be the 100 foot foot first. So it would be a massive foot on your map. That would be sick. Your map looks OK, but it suffers from a case of being not neat. I don't think you interlocked, and some stuff isn't placed with much accuracy. Make a V2 and repost it. OH! And make a giant foot 2 k?

    In the second picture those simple Warning barricades won't keep people back.Or is it supposed to be like that?o_O Other than that, nice map.This is okayfor no interlocking.Also a few objects aren't straight.3.5/5

    the most impressive part of this is correctly posting your map
    sorry if that sounds harsh
    its a good map but the standards of forgehub are astronomical so you need some interlocking
    but valiant effort!

    Welcome to Forgehub! i agree, interlocking would help this map a lot. also maybe some more cover in the middle. your post is up to forgehub standards, which is great, but i would recommend a weapons list, a longer description (although you pretty much covered it in the pic captions), and not taking pictures in forge, unless you have to(this isn't necessary, but makes it look cleaner).

    Ok thanks for the feedback. I know this is not the best map as far as strait and neat go but I'll make a V2 and be sure to post it. Just for the record though i made this map a long while ago. My forge skills are much better now. This just happened to be the only thing in my file share at the time and i wanted a test post kinda deal.

    Be sure to watch for V2 of this map later.

    looks good, a little merging would be nice, but it has a good layout. i like that you don't have the stairs and platform blocked off as most maps do, but instead you chose to let us battle it out back there. good job tho

    This looks fine for casual, but really doesn't seem like a competitive map- you have custom powerups on map, and most competitive maps are made with normal gametypes in mind. It just doesn't seem up to the title.

    Man this is great! Interlocking would be pretty nice and would make it look neat... Great overall layout, somewhat creative name, good post, all you need is interlocking and this map would be perfect!

    Yeah now that I look at it, it is more of a casual kinda map. Not really made for high competition.
