Just looking at these pictures gives me chills, great map. Gameplay looks quite intense, especially Slayer.
This is a really nice map Zendarrun, its got a seriously close quarters feel to it, yet is surprisingly unrestrictive considering how very enclosed it is. Even the shotgun crawl space, which I was a bit worried about, was very easy to jump in and out of and movement was great. The central room is just beautiful, the extensive bridge work on the floor really paid off, as did the bowl effect provided by the fence walls around the edge. I liked how the sides of the map are one high, one low, and you balanced the two well whilst making them each aesthetically distinctive. This really makes me think of a small goldeneye kind of map, but tuned nicely to halo. Its really nice and enclosed but doesn't seem too prone to camping, or feel too small. I'm gonna have a try with some small slayer games, and definitely want to try assault. It could be really interesting in this enclosed a map. Very good impressions though, I like what you've done alot. I'm glad you delayed the shotgun spawn, it should help to stop it becoming so dominant as players have to watch the clock to even get the first spawn, and you don't want to get caught down there by multiple enemies. I'm so glad you used the fuel rod cannon as opposed to the rockets, and whilst I'm not really a fan of the fuel rod, I think it may work well in this map and help give it really frantic gameplay. This seems like a map that gives a different kind of gameplay experience than most, and I'm keen to see if my impressions are correct.
yes, When observing my multiple tests in theater, i noticed that EVERYONE instantly starts the round making a bee-line for the shotgun. this angered me, as i HATE repeated tactics. So, i started delaying it's arrival (without anyone knowing until the test began). It worked wonders! also, the rocket launcher i origanally used seemed to dull the close quarter experience. So, i put in a slightly less destructive weapon in. again, it worked well. Still, after having a hard time with seting up Mausoleum's gameplay (which still causes me to consider it an asthetics experiment), this maps gameplay AMAZED me, and i built it.
smoooooth nice forging there i cant get a super good idea of the layout, but the map helps ill try it if i get the chance. very cool from the screenshots 8.6/10
This map looks cool. I like the shape of it and everything looks very cleanly built. Nice job. I'll give this one a try.
after downloading and playin 2v2 i can say that this map is horrible, the weapon balance is precarious to say the least and although forge skill and technique is excellent, no asthetics were really too impressive. My opinion: remove that regen and shotgun, replace with grav hammer, remove fuel rod and sentinal beam and replace with a needler on a short respawn, i think this would really spice the gameplay up and remove the disgusting amount of unfairness? 2.5/5.... but to the map maker i really enjoyed ur other maps so keep on forgin!
