Alright, well I've been playing Halo 2 Team Snipers all day (god did I miss it) and I realized how much I love the H2 sniper. So, of the three games, in which one was the sniper the best? and why? I say the H2 Sniper, because it just seems so much, smoother? I was get 20+ kills with it consistently, and it was easier for me than in H3. The H3 sniper though, I get no scopes way easier with. So, what are your thoughts?
I think everyone would rather have the Halo 2 sniper, because the bullet itself didn't travel in frames, it got to it's target instantly. It also had a slightly larger reticule than the Halo 3 sniper. I don't really care which one I have, as long as I have one and the other team has shotguns, lawlz.
Halo 2 sniper. Whenever I watch H2 montages, the sniper shoots so much faster for better kills. Go with that one!
I don't really know the H2 Sniper Rifle that good. Considering my XBOX is at my father which I don't go to anymore. I like the H3 Sniper but I guess the faster the bullet, makes it somewhat better.
Ah halo 3 and its controversial lack of hit scan weapons.... i dont know what the problem with having snipers as hit-scans,specially since your gonna throw auto aimat them to the point where it makes almost no differance at all. It was innovative to make everything have travel time but it annoys the crap out of me and causes quite a bit of lag Halo 2 sniper ftw,halo 1 was almost a machine gun lol
The Halo 2 sniper is probably the best due to all of the auto-aim in Halo 2 but I would definatly go with Halo 1's sniper. No scope battles with it on Chillout were legendary.
But I feel way more auto aim in H3 than H2? Or is that just me. I haven't played H1 too much, but I never really liked the sniper. It just felt, off? I can't explain it, but I couldn't hit anything with it.
Its the combination of AA,lag and bullet travel time. Your bullet rarely lands where you were actually aiming due to all these three and its just more noticable in halo 3
Yeah thats because there was absolutely no autoaim what-so-ever. Took much more skill to use, much better imo.
no auto aim would be awesome...alas it would alienate half the market wouldnt it? No noob crushing sprees....
My favorite sniper would be the pistol in Halo... 1, I think it was. Scoped pistol FTW! Lol I could knock down snipers all day with that thing
Plus it was 3 shot kill and low recoil, man i loved that gun on Halo Pc, and sniping on that one is easy too getting easy no scopes so im gonna say halo 1 but the beam rifle beats them all - slick looking, larger zoom, and it pratically is a lazer
The H2 sniper. It was fast, accurate and smooth. Not rough around the edges, like the H3 sniper. The CE sniper was good too. If only we had one of them in H3...
You still have to remember, halo 2 has no upward recoil so you don't have to readjust. But the halo 1 night vision was awesome but so is the halo 3 infra red.
Haha, yeah. The night vision was awesome. Sweet, sweet memories of The Truth and Reconciliation, possibly the greatest sniper level of all time.
On halo 2 it says sniped for headshots and double shots .. And i do prefer halo 2 sniper i got more headshots too .. I dont see why ..
Ya, you're probably right. I've also only played the PC version, and I am horrible with a mouse. Though it does make me want to get Halo for my xbox, so I can give it another shot, and to add another "classic" to my library.
