Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing Ok so this is basically a little fun game on Finding the Wraith. Hint, there might even be two. So it's not somehitng big but I guarantee you that there IS a wraith...
This map might be fun to do when your died. Sorry to say it really doesnt take much to hide something and say find it on an empty map. Im sorry .5/5 this is just terrible. I know you got a picture and everything but come on. You just bumped of someones map off the new maps just to put up this. This is a waste of space. Sorry to say but you need to accually make a map to redem yourself to me. This is a terrible attempt of a map.
My guess is it's under the level. OHHH SPOILER I thinks I found it. Yeah this isn't even a map, probably took you a grand total of 2 minutes to make (less if you used a pre-cleared Foundry). I agree with the above...
I didnt say it was a HUGE ginormous map. It's under the Game Maps I consider this a game finding the wraith. And thats what its meant for so why does it need to be something else?
Because it isn't really a game. By all definition, this isn't a playable map. If someone knows where the Wraith is, because they've played before, they win. It also isn't an aesthetic map. There's basically nothing on it. So as a forged map, this has nearly zero value. It can't be played, it doesn't involve any cool forging techniques, and it isn't pretty to look at. It's just a Foundry with a Wraith stuffed somewhere.
Correction: It's just a Foundry with a Wraith stuffed somewhere... maybe 2 0_o But I would have to agree with everyone else.
Ok, So when your bored and dont know what top do. You can simply dl this map, and find the Wraith and it might satisfy your boredom. Also talking about the you find it and you won kind of thing. So lets say you play a maze. You beat it and you win.. your not gonna play it again. So? I guess a maze is completely worthless than to.
Fair point, however, mazes and puzzle maps can keep you entertained for a good amount of time if it is any good. Sometimes, you give up and try another day. But it takes thinking and logic, or a knowledge of tricks. This however (assuming it is in the ground or something) you just walk around till you see "Hold (RB) to flip/drive wraith". It's just walking around, waiting.
If by "maze" you mean "puzzle map", I'm not personally fond of them because they're basically a glitch-fest. However, on the whole, a good puzzle map incorporates a wide array of original ideas, or new ways to implement old ideas. They tend to make you think, and you get that real AHA! feeling when you finally figure something out. They also tend to be pretty hilarious in their solutions sometimes (teabagging the cigarettes... 50 bonus points to whoever can name the map XD) EDIT: For the record, the above post wasn't there when I clicked "Post Reply" and started typing XD
Is this even his picture? It has the Bungie logo in the Bottom Right corner. Oh and I agree with this being a waste of space, good if you wanted a Canvas. But we already have enough of those... sorry, but try again.
This is such a waste of space in the mini-game section. Perhaps it would have been better if you'd done something like 'find the -insert small object-' and hidden it in a big map with lots of places to look in, a bit like a maze or something.
*Ahem* I can Anyhoo there is actually a section of the forging community that like to make maps where you have to find some random object. Infact I've seen a number of maps where there is a load of stuff on the map and there is a cone hidden somewhere. They can have some entertainment value as a quick d/l when you're bored. I don't think this map quite fits into that category. However, if you like to make maps like this then might I recommend making the hidden object a cone and placing some forging objects on the map to make it a bit more interesting. That way you're creating the same kind've challenge but in a more exciting way, both for yourself as a forger and for the potential players. Oh and to everyone else. You can't expect every submission on forgehub to be a work of art or a magnificent forging spectacle. We here at forgehub have been blessed/spoilt with a lot of spectacular maps and sometimes it's worth remembering that there are amateur forgers out there that also like to share their maps. We should be encouraging them, not belittling them.
It's clearly not the greatest of maps but honestly thats a little extreme. The maker obviously thought it was cool and had fun playing it by himself and thought other could enjoy it too, but then people like you totally rag on him and make him feel like ****. Not cool man, you could have just said you don't like the map much.
