    I get most of it, except for the last one in the first post. I don't really understand why the respawn areas near the dead friendly have -500 for the closest one, but -600 for the one further away. Where does the extra -100 come from?

    The additional -100 comes from the extra enemy inside the respawn area.

    you = spawn god. The numerical values of 100... random for easier explanation or actual?

    It matters not cause it explains the system clearer, but still jsut curious

    All numbers are actual values, EXCEPT the spawn order numbers. Which I made educated guesstimates.

    Best thread about halo I've ever witnessed. One question though: if spawn points affect the weights of others within 7.5 meters, does that negative weight transfer on to another spawn 7.5 meters away from the second one? In other words, If spawn A gives -500 weight to spawn B, can spawn B give that to spawn C too?

    A good question. If a player died in the radius of point A, and NOT B, then it will not transfer. So, Unless Spawn point C is within the 7.5m range of point A, it will not be influenced. In other words, if you make a chain of spawn points within the radius of one another, if a player dies in the first point in the chain, it will not transfer to any of the other points unless they are within 7.5m the player's death.

    I understand how they work now, thanks ^_^
    But how should they be placed? I am making a map at the moment, on foundry. I looked at default foundry and the respawn points are all neutral.
    I have heard that Respawn points should be neutral, and areas should be set to a team.
    Is this correct?

    For the vast majority of situations, yes, that is the best way to do it.

    I have a few questions myself.

    is it better to overlap your spawn areas or leve them separate/touching?
    and should you go ahead and put normal respawn areas where the flag home and flag away areas are, or would it be better to use the flag home and away areas as regular spawn areas?

    otherwise you did a very good job at figuring this stuff out and helped me out alot as well. genius. brilliant. kickass!

    i understand this whole thing, but how do you actually make these spawn areas? And what are those glowey cylinder spawn point thingey's?
