Hey guys. I'm kind of new here, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any good Role Playing Games for the 360? I love Halo, but lately I'm been wanting something a little more immersing. I played Oblivion, and loved it. I've been told that Fallout 3 is supposed to be a RPG, but I was thinking of a more classic one. I also saw a trailer for The Last Remnant, and that looks cool. Does anyone else know anything about this game? My favorite RPGs (or RPG-like games) have been Morrowind, Oblivion, KOTOR, and the Zelda fames. Sadly, I never got to play the one on the Wii. Anyway, thanks in advance for the help!
I dont know of any great ones after oblivion... fallout 3 is the same company though so if you want a modern oblivion, then there ya go.
Yeah, that's what my buddy said. But I don't know. Maybe I'll rent that one. But yeah, Bethesda makes a mean RPG.
Wait for fable 2. Play offline or online with your friends. It's supposed to be really good when it comes out. THe world around you changes with you. You start as a kid and get older. Try it when it comes out.
The kid and older thing reminds me of Zelda .. But i had the first fable on original xbox .. It was amazing! It was so funny and lasted me ages! So i suggested Fable 2 if its as good as the first one ..
Borderlands! It's kinda a mix between an RPG and an FPS, but not in the way that Fallout 3 will be. It's essentially a FPS with somewhere in the 500,000 range of different guns, on top of the 100,000 different armors and gear and whatnot. So you can gear up to the crazy extent of WoW, with all the stats and special abilities and whatnot, but it's a FPS. I'm definately getting this game when it comes out
Some already released RPGs like Mass effect ,GTA IV,ect but there are new ones like Mirrors edge that will be nice. : ]
Oh Mass Effect, I forgot about that Yeah that's a good one, I'm changing my vote. Borderlands is still gonna rock though :happy:
rpg I would recommend Mass Effect. It's a combination RPG-shooter with one of the best storylines I've seen. However, it did take me a whole goddam month to get all of it's achievements.
obviously nobody has recommended the best RPG that i have played on the 360 BioShock not only does this game have an amazing story line the game is quite fun its self this game gets my recommendation
I love Bioshock - It did beat out Halo 3 for game of the year for a reason. (Halo 3 was best multiplayer game of the year) Despite it's heart-moving and unique story, Bioshock is not an RPG.
You are like my Mini-Me I ****ing Love You Anyway, although Fallout 3 may not seem like a classic RPG it is designed by Bethesda, who created all the Elder Scrolls Games. Also if you liked KotOR then you would like Mass Effect, except instead of roll attacking it's real time combat, you can still pause by holding down the change weapon buttons, and use skills buttons. Lost Odyssey is supposed to be good, but I'm not the biggest fan of JRPG's.
Wow, you guys have given me a lot to think about and look into. I did forget to mention that I played and enjoyed the first Fable. It was unlike any RPG I had played before. It was unique, and the second one looks like more of that awesomeness. But there was one thing I didn't quite like about the first one. Near the end, the battles were repetitive because I had this really powerful spell that just killed everyone. I can't remember all the details, but I didn't like that part. But still, Fable rocked. I have not heard of this Mirrors Edge. I'll have to look into that. I never did see it as an RPG. I played the demo for it, and I thought it was a great shooter/puzzle type game. There are RPG elements, like leveling up certain things, but it doesn't seem like the RPG experience that I'm looking for. Still, people say it's awesome. Yeah, I have confidence in Bethesda. I loved Morrowind. I think that all total, I spent more hours playing Morrowind than Halo 2. And I played over 10,000 games of Halo 2! But what are JRPG's? And I've never heard of Lost Odyssey either. I'll have to look into that.
Speaking of, ive gotten bored with my games and still am saving up for BF:BC, so ive gone back to morrowind starting anew with a whole new class. The heavy RPG's will never end...
JRPG is definately a common acronym... My vote remains with Borderlands. At least go look at iit :happy:
I would say that if you want one now, pick up Lost Odyssey. If you are willing to wait, there are a ton coming out that will be fantastic. Final Fantasy XIII, Tales of Vesperia (tired story, excellent gameplay), Star Ocean, Fable 2, Fallout 3. I don't think The Last Remnant looks that great myself... Oh yeah, and I almost forgot what might be the best one, Too Human! That game looks amazing!
