Is it considered bad or unethical to use a map (like the grifball court) with the side portions of foundry pre-closed off? Is there a map I should use for this, to save on time?

It's not bad, but you should say in your post that you used the Grifball court as a canvas.

I was going to. But thanks.
Does anyone know what would be the best canvas to use?

for the court go to grifball.com
it should have the most updated version that uses less items.

but the bad thing about it is that there is no money glitch i think but you probably wouldn't need one i guess. So just go for the grifball court

the official version uses double boxes/bridges for the wall - if you need bridges on your map you can use an older Grifball court (built by RvB's Burnie Burns) which uses mostly double walls

i don't mind you using the Grifball court i made as a canvas, as long as it is not used as a Grifball court, or Grifball-style type game, and does not use 'Grifball' in the name of the map or game variant to avoid confusion - but you can say it was based on the Grifball map in your Map/Game Type Description
