A breif note: The Classics Map Pack is actaually a collection of three maps I've made using original maps. Some of you may know one of them as I've posted it here before, but since I was too lazy to make another one, I just decided to make some changes to it and through it in along with the others. If you happen to download all three, you'll note my aesthetic work with the reciever nodes. Two of the maps also include some nifty work with the grav. lifts and one of them has a ever so dangerous pallet jump-way. Well, without further waiting, here's the first map!

    click>> Pandemonium <<click
When you see bullets flying and people dying, you know you're in for some pandemonium. 4-10

The reason I did Pandemonium was actually because of the following post:
...When I saw that I replied with a "I'm so doing that. I'll make that map likeable." Now, if I did make it likeable or not is really up to you. I just hope you do. Here's the pics.

    Inside the attackers base.

The Bubble Shield spawn. (its on the back wall)

A nice little base-like thing. (If you look hard enough, you can see where I placed the rockets. >=P)

This is the system of grav. lifts that takes you up the shoot you'd normally go down.

A view on the "upper" part of the level. (NOTE: That teleporter leads you back down, but ONLY in symmetrical game types)

    Here's a list of weapons/vechicals/equipment on pandemonium.
Note: red font means they're only there in symmetrical game types.

    ~Weapons~
    -------------
    x6 Assualt Rifles
    x10 Battle Rifles
    x2 Shotguns
    x2 Sniper Rifles
    x2 SMG's
    x4 Spikers
    x2 Magnums
    x1 Plasma Pistol
    x2 Plasma Rifles
    x1 Needler
    x2 Brute Shot
    x1 Rocket Launcher
    x1 Spartan Laser
    x4 Carbines
    x2 Maulers

    ~Vechicals & Equipment~
    ---------------------------
    x2 Warthogs
    x2 Mongooses
    x6 Frag Grenades
    x6 Plasma Grenades
    x1 Bubble Shield
    x1 Trip Mine
    x1 Grav Lift
    x1 Power Drainer
    x2 Regenerators

I shall note that the word "Pandemonium" actually sticks with the game play of the map. It proves to be very chaotic like. (For every tree there is a fusion coil next to it, kind of spices up things) But yeah, if you were going to play this, then I recommend Team Slayer, Multi-Flag, or 1-Flag. But it is also playable on all game types. The max players should be 5v5. Anymore might make the spawning a bit off. But in a multi-team case, then you can have up to 3v3v3v3s. Well, that's all for Pandemonium. Next up is Freezing Point!

Since I came out with these maps, I also decided to come out with exclusive game variants for each map. As for Pandemonium, I made Pande 1-Flag. Pande 1-Flag is actually nothing like normal one flag. In basic, there are two rounds where each team gets the chance to score 3 flags. Rounds end after a certain time, or if all 3 flags are scored. BR starts, and some other things that play into the settings of the game itself. (If you feel the need to know, download it and check it out!)

    click>> Freezing Point <<click
Brace yourself because you have reached freezing point. 4-12

Ok, the backstory on Freezing Point is simple. I was bored one day and just randomly picked a map (Happen to be Snowbound) and decided to make an actual map out of it. I think it's turned out rather nicely. Though, the one thing that I think would make it better (I thank Blaze for actually noting this) is if I could get rid of the shield doors. But, alas, I have no idea how to... so oh well. Here's the pics.

    The 'open' side base.

    Above the Chopper spawn.

The mini-side base on the mountain side.

Above where the gravity hammer spawns.

    The gravity hammer spawn.

Here's a list of weapons/vechicals/equipment on Freezing Point.

    ~Weapons~
    ------------
    x14 Battle Rifles
    x2 Brute Shots
    x6 Carbines
    x1 Gravity Hammer
    x2 Maulers
    x4 Plasma Rifles
x2 Rocket Launcher (They don't have any spair ammo so don't worry)
    x4 SMG's
    x2 Sniper Rifles
    x4 Spikers

    ~Vechicals & Equipment~
    ---------------------------
    x1 Chopper
    x2 Prowlers
    x6 Frag Grenades
    x7 Spike Grenades
    x2 Bubble Shields
    x1 Power Drain
    x2 Trip Mines
    x2 Regenerators
    x2 Overshields

As for actual game play... I'd say try out Multi-flag first (if possible, try to get a 6v6 Multi-Flag). It's a blast (literally). Other than that I'd say Team Slayer, Multi-Team, and my game varaint Bond of Leaders. Any and all gametypes can be played. But I would stay away from any FFA's (it's more of a team map) As for teams, 6 player per team is, I guess, a max amount. (That's the most I've ever had on each team) So there you have it, the 2nd map, Freezing Point. Now on to the next, and final map.

Be sure to try out Freezing Points exclusive game varaint. Snow Ball; A Oddball game varaint that is more along the lines of a slayer game. The snowballs are really brute shot grenades, (and yes, you do start with brute shots) and each normal kill is 1 point (yes, you can pick up the maps normal weapons, and you can drive around and etc.). As to where the oddball is like a super snowball and killing with that gets you +3. (but that'll prove to be harder than you think) ~you'll also get 1 point for holding on to it. It goes up to 200 points so it'd be wise to get a hold of that ball! Oh, and you'll need to use the prowler, chopper, rockets, trip mine, grenades, or bruteshot to move the crates on top of the oddball. (making game play a bit more spicy)

    click>> Broken Blaze <<click
When the world ends all that is left is broken blaze. 2-8

As a third map, I wasn't sure on what to make it on. I first tried Narrows... but the only thing I got out of that was two fusion coils that would go off of each lift and blow up in the middle... So I decided to ask BlazeIsGod and thesilencebroken their favorite 'original' maps. (And yes, the name does come from their names) Anyways, I decided to go with Guardian... because I myself like Guardian. (thesilencebroken does too) But enough about that. Out of all three of these maps, I'd say this is the most well made one. ~And the funny thing is, it took me less time to make this than the other two. xD ...Well, here's the pics for Broken Blaze.

    The Defenders Spawn.

    The "Blue" Room.

The "Sniper Tower". (zomg sniper at S-2!! ~sorry had to)

    The Top Center.

The system of Grav. Lifts. (NOTE: Be careful when using this, if you don't jump in it right then you will fall to your death ~The traffic cone approach is your best bet)

The Pallet Jump-Way (NOTE: This is a very risky way, you could end up dying)

Someone (my friend porkmoney) failing the Pallet Jump-Way
    [IMG]

Here's a list of weapons/vechicals/equipment on Broken Blaze.

    ~Weapons & Equipment~
    ---------------------------
    x2 Assault Rifles
    x2 Battle Rifles
    x1 Shotgun
    x1 Sniper Rifle
    x2 SMG's
    x2 Spikers
    x2 Plasma Rifles
    x2 Needlers
    x1 Brute Shot
    x1 Gravity Hammer
    x2 Carbines
    x4 Frag Grenades
    x6 Plasma Grenades
    x1 Bubble Shield
    x1 Regenerator
    x1 Overshield
    x1 Active Camo

For gametypes to be played. I'd play anything that it's played for in any Matchmaking game type. ~FFA Slayer, Multi-Team, Team Slayer, Oddball. Heck, I'd even try 1-Flag here with that whole Pallet Jump-way. The number of players per team ranges... 1v1's up to 4v4's or 2v2v2v2's... But yeah, the added lift system, and the pallet add to number of jumps you can pull off on Guardian, and I must say I really like that. =]

Be sure to try out Broken Blaze's exclusive game varaint... The Last Fire. The Last Fire is an infection varaint. Where as the alpha zombie is Blaze (Gold), and all the humans are thesilencebroken (Blue). If you get killed by Blaze then you become a knock-off of the actual Blaze (Orange). As for the last man standing, they'll turn into me (Red). Gravity is at 150% to prevent humans from hiding in areas they could normally trick jump to, and the last man standing has 200% gravity to prevent him from using lifts (You can still go in them, but 99% of the time you'll fall to your death). As the last man standing though, you gain things, and lose things... The damaging system basically is if the zombie is close enough, it'll be a one shot with the shotgun, and if you place a headshot with the magnum it'll mean death. There's more indepth to the games settings, but I think I've said enough. (The only thing I wish I could do to it is instead of Blue, make it the actual color thesilencebroken uses, which is teal ~I think~)

Well, there you have it. My first map pack. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you download them. (If not all, at least 1! =D) lol. Happy Forging!

I would like to thank; BlazeIsGod and thesilencebroken for having me decide using Guardian ~also on the side for Blaze~ --For looking around the maps with my friend porkmoney, and myself... Also Thorax tehGREAT for inspiring me to do Pandemonium, and all who helped test these maps and for those of you willing to download them. ;)

now these are some maps you dont see forged everyday. in fact you dont see any map being forged on except foundry almost all the time. now back to these maps. they are slightly bare even for the limited stuff you can put on the maps but i think the guardian one is the best of the three. the guardian one 3.5/5 and overall 3/5

Yeah, I figured most people would stay away from that god-awful map. (It's funny, because in forge you can actually put a Banshee on that map. xD)

Thanks! :D And I hope so too.

    Thanks for your honesty.

Cool, cool. And yeah, that whole lighting with the shields was weird, but cool.

different from what a lot of people have been posting lately. Everything is foundry. good to see someone is still using the original maps. although i do find them to lack the building materials i desire... besides that i like what you did with the maps...

I think in some aspects of forging that maps not on foundry take more skill because you have less objects and you need more imagination.

i have yet to still download the two maps [isolation, snowbound] because im not able to connect to xboxlive atm, but i applaud you trying to forge something great on maps that would normally be considered ****. [i personally like snowbound. or at least i did before they made it "hardcore"]. i will most certainly download them tomorrow afternoon and try them out.

the one map i did download and try out is consiquently my favorite of the three. Not only do i already love guardian, but it is genuinely well forged. the centerpiece is magnificent [aurora?] and looks like it'll change the whole gameplay entirely, because its usually a pit of death and grenades.

the part that REALLY stands out to me is the pallet walkway. i've seen it in other levels, but i really like how it was implimented in this map. Keep up the good work, and thank you for thinking of me.

    lawlz, so trying that. xD

Yeah, there isn't much to work with, which in a way makes it harder? But thanks.

That's a good way of putting it. =]

I figured that'd stand out the most. If I had more pallets (Actually, I could, now that I think about it...) I'd make another pallet walkway. (and no problem)

Thanks. Those were the parts that took the longest to do too. Esp. the grav. lift system in Broken Blaze.

The older maps are starting to get attention and it's cool to see what people can do with them. Personally, I like the Guardian one the best

I haven't noticed the attention... but that's cool. And yeah, the Guardian one is most likely the best one.

Trust me, it can be used rather nicely. =]
