after some research this is what i came up with...

the next batman movie will most likely be based off the comic "Dark Victory" and will include villains such as The Hangman and Two Face.

The Hangman is a serial killer who murders Gotham City police officers while Two Face finishes business with the Falcone Mob. and if what i read about Dark Victory is true... Robin may be introduced...

But i am not quite sure if they will change the story to not include Robin because, from my understandings, Christain Bale will not be doing this movie if there is a robin. But also from my understandings, Dark Victory is Christain Bale's favorite Batman comic.

But here's some good news for some people. Catwoman MAY be included in the movie.

In the story, Two Face sends his henchman/"freaks" to help with his war against the mafia. his "freaks" include: The Joker, Scarecrow, The Penguin, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, The Mad Hatter, and Solomon Grundy. Although i dont know if we will be seeing appearances from all of these characters in the movie.

Read this if you wanna learn more about "Dark Victory/ The Long Halloween"

to me, they seemed to have wrapped up Two Face in a neat little package, and to include him as a new villian would undo the whole epic ending of the 2nd movie.

not really... if you think about it, Two Face was just beginning near the end of The Dark Knight. And if this rumour i hear is in fact true, This next movie will be even more epic. Two Face and his army of freaks fighting the Falcone Mob? Batman bringing justice to the Hangman? i dont know how this could be even more epic.

I just saw this movie last night and i got to say it probably is the best movie either ever or in a few years. The joker was definently memorable - someone we will never forget. And there was so many twists like the boats for example.

On IMBd they list as the Best movie.
    Above the godfather.

If I'm not mistaken, the top 4 were
    The Dark Knight
    Godfather
    Shawshank Redemption
    Godfather II

Didn't it recieve the best rating Rotten Tomatoes has ever given a movie? There are some tough critics over there....

I'm going to see this movie again tomorrow, I'll be seeing it a few times in the theater actually.

Really? Never saw The Godfather, but Shawshank Redemption is possibly my favorite movie ever. I've seen it probably 8-10 times.

As for The Dark Knight, amazing movie. It's definitely up there, but it's too soon to name it best movie. The buzz is still going.

And someone mentioned the filmmakers, the Nolans. They also did Mememto (great movie). What else? If another Batman is made, they should be the guys in charge.

the scare crow dude was in a lot of different parts like the assassination attempt on the mayor, you could see him briefly and you could see the joker with no make up just briefly also then the scarecrow again in the ambulance. and then the scarecrow one more time at the end on the boat dressed up as a guard just briefly you can see him crying thinking the other boat was gonna blow them up... also the boat thing at the end was just awesome keeps you wandering who's gonna do it.

That wasn't the scarecrow in the ambulance. That was an old patient from the insane asylum Archam (sp?), that the joker tricked into helping him. The Scarecrow only made a brief appearence in the beginning of the film.

I'm pretty sure it was the scarecrow: if not he looked exactly like him. I have heard people say Edward Nigma was brought up, when was that?

    Yes, your bad.
    It wasnt him.
Cillian Murphy(The Scarecrow) is only at the beginning of the movie.
The person you're referring to, is a completely different actor and character.

Edward Nigma was mentioned in a viral marketing campaign newspaper somewhere on the internet if I'm not mistaken. He was never in the actual film though.

I'd now like to list some of my favorite quotes from the film:

    The Joker
: [to police officer] Do you wanna know why I use a knife? Guns are too quick. You can't savor all the...little..emotions. And..you see..in their last moments...people show you who they really are. So, in a way, I know your friends better than you ever did. Would you like to know which of them were cowards?

The Joker: If you're good at something, never do it for free

Two-Face: You thought we could be decent men at indecent times. But you were wrong; the world is cruel, and the only morality in a cruel world is chance.
    [holds up his coin]
    Two-Face: Unbiased.
    [looks at Gordon]
    Two-Face: Unprejudiced. Fair.
