Hey with the release date of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, so close. I thought i'd make this thread, so just before you think yes, think of all the other bands. We know Metallica are getting there own next year. But is there more well deserved bands for this then Aerosmith. What do you think? Note: Aerosmith is the bestselling American hard rock band of all time, including 66.5 million albums in the United States alone and having sold 150 million albums worldwide. Oh yeah, btw i will not be buying the game... i do not like the songlist enough to pay 100 dollars on it. METALLICA FTW!!!!!!
aerosmith are a good band but to have their own game:no, i know people will disagree with me but im sure people love guitar hero and not areosmith, people are going to say just don't buy it, but even areosmith fans will not like everysong, but i cant really say anything because i havnt played it but its aerosmith i think they can pull it off.
Unless these songs are available as a DLC for the "original" game, I say no. It's unfair for people who bought the "original" game (Legends of rock). Plus $60 price-tag seems way to high.
No. Personally, I don't like their music, so getting a game with about a third of the songs by them is kind of a lost sale. Since they charge full price, there really isn't any justification for making a game that is just as likely to draw in customers as it is to drive them away. If they charged $30 instead of $60, things would be different. Treat it as the expansion pack that it is.
a single person cant answer this some people love aerosmith, and i'm sure others hate them so its not really a fair question
Omg I was gonna say no they don't but Metallica and Pantera do lol =P But I don't think they do to be honest, nobody really likes them lol, well apart from their fans and all, but I really thing Metallica deserve one.
I like Aerosmith and I like Metallica too but I would never buy any game of just one artist. I like having different artists to choose from. They deserve there own game tho cause they are good.
I'll just say that it's too late for them to not get it. I think they should of just kept the way they were going with different bands because everyone has a different taste in music. I like most of Guitar Hero 1, 2, and 3, but not every song. I think you get variation if you have more than just one band which is what most music games are all about.
Aerosmith are a great band but they just dont have enough songs to make a whole game about it, sure they may have have 3 or 4 good songs but thats it. Its also about quantity/playing time aswell. GH: Aerosmith only features 40+ songs which wouldnt satisfy your average guitar hero player, but since GH3 is ALOT cheaper since they reduced it to 45 pounds instead of 75. While the next version is an extra 30 quid more and that features over 70 songs which will keep me playing longer and IMO, The game is just far better and I would rather buy GH3 than the Aerosmith Version.
Dream On.. I guess I'm the only one who is going to say Yes that Aerosmith deserves there own game. I probably won't get it but it's just another accomplishment in there glorious careers. I like Aerosmith, primarily because I listened to them when I was a kid, Now I'm not a huge fan of there new stuff but whatever. I think they have paid there dues enough to have a video game made about them, and don't worry.. I'm sure this is only one of many band exclusive spin offs to come, But most of you are saying they don't deserve a game made about them because you don't like them.. How is that fair? I will agree on one thing, charging 60 bucks for it seems a little over-priced, But hey.. I guess they can charge whatever they want. It'll never happen, The songs being available as a DLC, just because it's a completely different game. Guitar Hero 3 (Legends of Rock) was just that.. Guitar Hero 3.. This game is Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Not Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock Aerosmith. So charging 60 bucks for a BRAND NEW game seems to be what they do with every game. Uhh.. 3 or 4 good songs? You must not listen to them very much, allow me to list a few songs that were singles in the US. 1975: Sweet Emotion 1976: Dream On 1976: Last Child 1977: Walk This Way 1977: Back in the Saddle 1978: Come Together 1987: Dude (Looks Like a Lady) 1988: Angel 1988: Rag Doll 1989: Love in an Elevator 1990: Janie's Got a Gun 1990: What it Takes 1990: The Other Side 1993: Livin' on the Edge 1993: Cryin' 1994: Amazing 1994: Crazy 1997: Falling in Love (Is Hard on the Knees) 1998: Pink 1998: I Don't Want to Miss a Thing 2001: Jaded
$60 dollars does seem over priced....but I think they deserve their own game. I'm really looking forward to playing Dream On....that song is epic.
I Enjoy "Walk This Way" and "Same Old Song And Dance" but its my opinion not yours, 3 or 4 good songs in MY opinion. Yes they may be good but not to me.
That's great that it's your opinion, You should have said that, Because the way you worded it made me think you thought they only came out with 3 or 4 songs.. Which would have been completely wrong. Besides in your original post you said they didn't have enough songs to make an entire game out of it.. But in actuality they do.
I'm glad Back in the Saddle si in there....but I'm shocked Toys in the Attic isn't up there.....or ummm "Draw the Line"???? Baby Please Don't Go is another one I'd have liked to see in the game....epic guitarness in that song.
No need to fear DTL, Toys in the Attic, and Draw the Line are both in the game, However.. Baby please don't go isn't. But I have to say that song is awesome, I took my girlfriend to see Aerosmith back in September and they played that song.. Incredible performance!
