The Business world seems to think the departure of Bill Gates is rather dramatic, and many say the turn is for the worst. Microsoft is falling apart because of more "hip" competitors like Google. They havn't quite accepted the open-source software revolution yet. They have just started getting into the Cloud Computing Era. They are getting better, but still lag behind. He didn't leaveeeeee microsoft, he just is stepping down from his CEO position so he can spend more time with his family. I'm sure we will all prevail. Not much to debate about, but you can't help admiring what he's done in his career, very impressive.

I didn't even know Bill was stepping down... Shows you how well I am informed.... I don't think MS will change at all, because if Bill Gates is training Steve Ballmer in the ways of running MS like Bill did, then everything is fine.
But what if Steve Ballmer tries to do his own thing and then does an epic failure .. =] Then microsoft will go down and might give up making games! Then i'll have to settle with a wii =]
