    This is like my 50th map post here on forgehub, but this is my first competitive map post. I used to post my maps here, bungie, and on the xbox.com forums. After I posted one of my maps on the xbox forums. A couple of MLG guys told me I should use my forge skill and make a unique MLG map that is different than most.

    I laughed at the thought of, me, making a competitive map, but then I really got the urge too. I told myself that before I went and made an MLG map, that I would have to do some research.

    I looked at Onslaugt, Amplified, and other various MLG maps. People told me they wanted something different. Something out of the box. I realized I wasn't going to make a normal box shaped arena with some random structure in the middle. I even thought to myself, "why even make the map symmetrical?"

    I was set. I had my mind on making a unique, asymmetrical, MLG map for the ages. After a few weeks of forging I came out with MLG X-TA-C.


    MLG X-TA-C is an asymmetrical map that features 2 symmetrical flag cap points. The map sustains MLG TS v5 and MLG MULTI FLAG.

    Attackers and Defenders spawn across from each other on two differently sized bases. Defenders spawn at purple base, which is the larger of the two bases and actually has some more cover. Attackers spawn at a smaller Yellow base, with less cover. I bet your thinking "WTF THIS KID IS STUPID FOR DOING THAT"

    Well, listen up. Purple base has 1 entrance to top mid, while Yellow, has 2 ways up to top mid. It evens out the gameplay quite a bit.

    This map defers itself from many other MLG maps in many different ways.

    One of the most unique things about this map is the way you can obtain the one sniper rifle on the map. Once you spawn, you will look under the top platform. You will see a floating fusion coil(I know MLG doesn't use fusion coils...oh well). The sniper is resting on the fusion coil. You have to shoot the fusion coil to make the sniper fall. So, the first battle of the map is pretty much over the fallen sniper.

    When you are playing MULTI FLAG, you will notice that you don't spawn next to your flag. You will see that your flag is in either in the middle east of the map or the middle west of the map. You will see more in the pictures. There are 4 different structures in all four corners of the map.

    -Once you play this map, you will realize that the matches will go kind of quick.

    -I took these pictures before I added one more structure in the middle of the map. SO, once you DL and play it, you might notice something a little bit different in the middle.

    -After a lot of testing. Gameplay is equal for both sides. No side has more of an advantage than another. I have won many matches being on both sides.

    -When playing MULTI FLAG. You will notice people will try to grab the flag and run straight back down the middle. Bad idea. You will get taken out because you are in open terrain. It is best to take the flag up through one of the bases or even go as high as top mid.

    i have been waiting for u to post this i love that the bases are different and also the sniper falling and have no idea where it goes.. 4.5/5 the top mid might need some barriers around the outside of the platform

    How long did you know about the map for lol? Do I know you? Oh and sniper normally falls straight down. It depends on what angle you shoot it at.

    Ok, whilst drinking, that fusion core above the grenades ****ed me up a bit. I was like "how'd it get that ****ing big!?!?"

    Otherwise it's a pretty Above Average map. Not the best, but good.

    i really like the bases. a few things though. takes the fusion coil out. period.
    they just don't belong in MLG maps. also i think the top structure is too much of a dominant position. its hard to get grenades up there, and players on it have the shooting advantage.

    Fusion Coil stays. Sorry. It's not like this is going to be used in the next MLG tourney hm?

    Hardly anybody goes up to top mid. You can't dominate from up there because you don't have a good view of bottom mid, which is where most of the action happens.

    This map looks very colorful with all of the signs, it's visually attractive.
    But it looks like if you're in the center of the map you'll get killed quickly from different directions.
    Also, team bases should have more cover if it's a MLG type map in my opinion.

    hmm well i will download this as soon as i open up a slot out of my 100. cant wait to post my map once i decide on a final version.

    i cant c anything wrong with it so well done, looks fun and thers a gd amount of cover, a gd layout, im not a fan of mlg maps but looks really gd, the post is gd with the directory, well done

    Wow, exciting map! In see you have used plenty of interlocking and geo-merging towards good use and when i saw the pics i would have said use more cover in the middle, but you have already fixed this. The structures are definately intersting and i like that you have built long bases at each end of the map. Also, it's great to see a yellow and purple base! Red and blue is getting boring...

    Yeah. The falling snipe is pretty unique. Some people want me to take it out though.

    I just can't see this being an MLG map. It's waaay too open in my opinion. Each area also doesn't seem to be identifyable, and that can affect things like callouts. Besides from the excellently constructed bases, it feels scattered. Almost like there wasn't really a plan. But, it's decent. 3.5/5 from me.

    Too open? Apparently you haven't played the map yet. I even thought about taking out some of the cover. I didn't make the map with callouts in mind, but I have my own names for each of the main structures. Playing this reminds me of like playing on MLG Guardian. I didn't want to make the typical foundry MLG map like I said in my post. People wanted wanted something different and they got it.

    Once you play the map, get back to me on how it went.
