Strip Search of 13-Year-Old for Ibuprofen Ruled Unconstitutional If you have a problem with school officials strip searching 13-year-olds for Advil – or if you care about the government’s standards for informant use and invasive searches – you can take relief in yesterday’s ruling by a full panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, which ruled 6-5 that students cannot be strip-searched based on the uncorroborated word of another student who is facing disciplinary punishment. “The strip search was the most humiliating experience I have ever had,” said Redding in a sworn affidavit following the incident. “I held my head down so that they could not see that I was about to cry.” “There are two kinds of people in the world: the kind who think it’s perfectly reasonable to strip-search a 13-year-old girl suspected of bringing ibuprofen to school, and the kind who think those people should be kept as far away from children as possible … Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between drug warriors and child molesters.” click here to read more... This, my friends, is just disgusting. Is it just me or do you find it sickening that 5 out of 11 people supported this child molestation?!
Thats just sick i mean it a fricken 13-year old and for some pills. i have a feeling that's not the only thing that those cops where looking for friken pervs.
Oh, you have a headache? Bob, get the gloves. ****ing disgusting, this is Australia? I'm not even going to go into the fact that they aren't allowing Ibuprofen into school. But the fact that they so barely won is sickening, they just don't seem to realize how hard it can get for kids today. Minus the fact that they have to take their clothes off in front of some adults.
Ive seen worse brought to school but a strip search really is that nessesary? Especial for asprin which won't kill you in a small dose I would understand if it were a more serious drug though. Still not right in this case.
soon, they will strip search people for anything. Chewing gum in middle schools is next. Our world is deteriorating. Buy as many guns and as much gas as you can, and prepare for war
The one problem I have with the writing of this is that they are implying that anyone who agrees with this(the bill) is a child molester, and thus is wrong, which is an ad hominem. Or maybe I'm assuming too much about this.
You're saying we assume that any one that agrees with strip searching a 13 year old girl is a child molester? Ummm yeah... I would say that. You do realise that a strip search is internal as well...
Exactly, strip searching a 13 year old girl IS molestation. It's exactly what you think. Mouth, ears, anus, ******. Any hole you have is checked out.
This almost creates a whole new level of disturbing. No investigating was done... Just straight to the search just because another child claimed she possessed some at one time, not necessarily even at that moment on her. That's so very sick.
