I used to use the door methods, although it never really came out right, it will always have been crocked just a little bit. I hated that! Although with this new method everything worked fine! THANKS ALOT!
Avalanche is THE single coolest map for merging into the ground. There are SO many cool things you can do! And you can merge anything straight into the ground, even though the ground is bumpy and stuff.
Ok I need some help. I can merge objects with the maps geometry normally with no problems (double box, corner wall etc.) But a new map I'm designing requires me to merge an upside down double box with the maps floor. I know it can be done as I have seen it on maps before but every time I use the "another pushing double box" method it only merges a very small amount off the ground (it's visible but you don't notice the terrain change when walking over it.) Please help! I can use the door method for it but I can't get that merged just the right amount.
Just as an FYI, geomerging is completely useless on Cold Storage. Most of the usual stuff in the inventory will not hold the item you want to merge solidly enough so that it doesn't move in any direction other than the one you want it to. Even those new teleporters don't work. However I have not tried using turrets or powerups so those might work.
I actually tried it (and got half-successful / really lucky) with my map "Gravity Hall." If you really want to geomerge, use the large energy blockers and save and quit those. As for bracing, I guess walls would work out.
They didn't. I tried. I managed to get half success using all the turrets, custom power ups and Invis.
I'm trying to merge a barrier (the big window looking thing) up through the floor of the hallway that over looks the big flood windows so that it separates one side of the hallway from the other.
i r liek master at geomerging on cold-storage... ive gottin stufff everywhere... if u needs help, just ask meh.
