    Watch the video above.

Now to me, he's looking at the floor, mumbling, and telling her she deserves all the rights of a married person but in a different form.

What I want to debate is, is he doing this just for the conservative vote, or does he actually oppose gay marriage? From what I saw he almost wanted to burst out and tell her it's okay to be gay and get married.

He's a republican that is a ridiculous question, of course he doesn't support Gay Marriage, he does however I would think support a union between a gay couple. Where they would have all rights and benefits of a regular married couple.

Randle, not ALL republicans dislike homosexuals. I think he was just put on the spot, so he couldn't find his words. He doesn't seem to support gay marriage (conservative voters' sake), but I bet he feels somewhat regretful that he is opposing equality.

Well I am a republican as well... I can say from experience that McCain is generally a pretty liberal Republican, and I do believe he supports equality but not marriage, like I said earlier.

Yes... I have heard McCain labled as a 'Libretarian'. I'm republican, I can't say I agree with him on things. He probably opposes the marriage, maybe not the union as said alreadu.

I just want to say, "YOU GO GIRL!!!"

I think that he means what he says and that he was only fumbling his words because he was nervous and she practically dominated with every point she made.

lol, it would kinda be awkward to tell the host of a show who is gay that you don't support gay marriage.

I agree with Nemi..thats like so much bad publicity I don't think anyone but Obama could handle. As well, if he comes out and says "I disapprove of gay marriage", he loses votes..and if he says "I approve", he loses votes..so I think hes going to remain semi neutral dispite his actual opinion. Besides, everyone knows politics isn't about doing what you believe in right?

You sacrifice 90% of yourself just to fit in. He's just trying to fit in with the republican crowd, who knows if he actually has an opinion on gay marriage anymore.

As a general rule of thumb, Republicans oppose Gay Marriage. Having said that, he doesn't seem to be opposing it but more avoiding the question as to not lose the hardcore homophobe vote.

And I would just like to say, "OWNED!"

McCain has always been fumbling his words, and always been switching his viewpoints, I think this was one of his first attempts to stand strong, and might I say...He failed...She raped him with her intelligence.

    Great find Nitrous.

I really have changed my opinion of Ellen since she's come out with her talk show. Never liked her one bit, and I thought he coming out on her sitcom was just publicity. Now though, I love her. She's smart, funny, and seems like a very genuine person who really cares about others. She did a great job of putting McCain in the uncomfortable chair. While I'm a little surprised that he'd even appear on her show, his responses to her questions were ridiculous. Someone of his stature would be completely aware of the questions that she'd ask him; his handlers wouldn't allow otherwise. The "unprepared" defense holds no water for me. He's just like every other moron politician; a total tool. It's obvious that he doesn't approve of the gay lifestyle, old school guys like that can't be any other way. It seems as if he does indeed oppose gay marriage, and failed miserably at "reaching out" to the other side.

If you're ashamed of the side you support, then you shouldn't support it. If you can't freely discuss your decisions with someone it will affect, then you shouldn't support it.

Ya, but he reaalllyy wants president...

I personally can't stand thinking we will have a president who has the viewpoints of the 1930's.

On top of that...He will DIE during his presidency, he is so ****ing old.

    No.

He's not a Libertarian. Not at all. Not even close to a minarchist, what with some of his beliefs and ideals.
