Hey guys this is my remake of Halo 2's Foundation, it took me about 4-5 hours to perfect it just supports slayer right now but i'm currently working between making it objective and infection compatible and making a midship remake. Please download and comment on it, and if you like it please register it into the best of forge contest. Thank you for all your support. There are no ways out of the map that i know o so if you find one please notify me at once please. This map was studied by me very closely from halo 2, all the weapon and nade respawn times are the same, somethings that are different that i know about are: the missing fence cage on top of the yellow base, i know this is gone i couldn't fit one on top of that base b/c of the ceiling, but being on top of it is really easy to be shot, so there's no advantage. Another thing is the missing fusion coils on the outer rim, i couldn't put those there b/c people can stand on them, shoot them, and jump and easily get outside the map, i was short on money so i couldn't make the walls any higher, but the coils inside the middle by the sword still remain. Last thing is the windows missing in the middle, i couldn't figure out a way to make the windows down there so i just left it alone. Nice job. This is one of the better foundation remakes I have seen. There are some things I would personally add, but they are unnecessary. Once again nice job.
I can't see the pics, so try this: First, go to Bungie.net to your page. Find the Screenshot Viewer, and double click the screenshot which you choose to upload. When you do this, an option should pop up asking you what you want to do with the file. Your screen should look like this: Click Save to Desktop, or wherever you would like to save it to. Next, go to a site like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket to host your image. If you do not have an account, create one. When you have your account made, go to your photo album. There is a blue bar that says "Choose files" that should look like this: Click that blue bar, where the red arrow points to(arrow added for dramatic effect). Upload from wherever you saved the file. Now, after the file has uploaded, scroll down the page to your picture's thumbnail. There is a list of options, like this: Copy the highlighted link, or direct link where the arrow is. And yes, that is Chris Hanson Last step is coming back to here, where you enter the final direct link into the code( [ img]link[ /img] ) without the spaces. Hopefully, that hepls you out. Any questions, PM me
Yes I can see the image and it looks pretty good. Just one question, how big are the bases? Maybe you should post a picture of one of the bases
Umm--nice but, in all modesty, I made one a little bit more aesthetically pleasing but yours looks more practical.
this does look like one of the better foundation remakes. i really like how you utilized the back area of foundry to make the bases. very smart, good move. more pics would get you more downloads and more advice tho. only one correction i would make, and that would be flipping the bridges. when you interlock them face up, they tend to be bumpy. its always nice to have it smooth. other than that tho, very good
i'll have to hand it to you this looks like a pretty good foundation remake but i'd add more pics if i were you
thank you very much for all your support, comments, and suggestions, i've added more pictures to the thread and i am currently working on Foundration v3 with windows in the middle, higher walls(maybe), boxes and bridges upside down for smoother surface, and try to do the glitch where you can put stuff through the walls to put a fence box on the yellow base. Thank you all again please enjoy!
I've played this map before i joined forgehub, i may not own halo 3, but i play it on a near weekly basis and so i still play alot of halo 2. a very well made map that brings back some good memories
