Rampart Created by Spartan Ninja 3/ZombieNinja117 Map Description Best played with 7+ people. Download the Game Variant for best gameplay!!! The gate is in the "basement" of the fort and the fusion coil (button) is in the middle layer of the fort. I've tested this with up to 14 people, basicly the more the better. Rampart is a fort-like map with a fully operational gate! The Zombies spawn in the hallways of Foundry and the "Nonzombies" spawn in the fort structure. Between the fort and the zombie spawns are plenty of cover from the many machine gun turrets. The Zombies first objective is usually to open the gate by destroying the fusion coil, allowing them to come in the base much more easily. If they don't open the gate within a certian time period, it automaticly does. After the gate is opened, the Nonzombies can go through the teleporter to a narrow passageway at the back of the map. There are turrets and and a "stationary Ghost gun" to defend from the Zombies. If the Zombies have a hard time coming through, one by one shield doors will spawn allowing an easier path. Notes: Sometimes there is a bug after the gate is opened that a dumpster spawns in the middle, and when you go in the gate you will get stuck, if you see a single dumpster stuck in the middle (you'll know if it's a glitch or not) don't go through it, wait a few seconds and it should correct itself. _________________________________________________ Back of Base/Fort Base/Fort from Zombie Spawn Overviewo of Base/Fort from Back of Map Button (Fusion Coil) to open the Gate The Gate Opened A Machine Gun Turret in Action _________________________________________________ Hope I didn't forget anything! I like your map a lot, but sadly, infection gametypes now end up being mostly fortresses and aromories and stuff, so sorry, no dl. It looks well made, though.
Yah change the name of your thread to the map name so it can be easily found. Your idea for the map is old and been done ALOT but the gate is very cool and brings a type of originality to it so i will consider downloading it. I would give you a 3/5 (its fair)
The rules are to have only your map name as the title of your post to prevent spam, tedious and wasted reading, and so people can easily find your map. It still looks fun to play, but you should look up some more forging techniques. You can now merge objects into the map, interlock, ect. So you should find out how to do that.
Yeah, but to me this map doesn't seem to play like the rest, it seems to have it's own unique "feel", or at least to me it does. About changing the name, I am probably going to update ounce I test it some more and stuff so I can fix the weapon layout and stuff. So about only having the map name in the title, I don't guess I could include "Infection" in the title, could I? A lot of objects are merged in it, just not the intire map.
What do you mean? EDIT: Ohh that one in the 3rd picture? Your supposed to be able to get out there, it's part of the map.
Nice map, but there's not enough to make it stand above other infection maps. As somebody else said; everybody seems to be making fortresses as infection maps now. It looks well made, but it's been done so much it's lost all appeal.
I know, a lot of effort was put into it, and i'm sure other people would download it and enjoy it, but for me personally, it doesnt quite cut it.
Actually not a lot of effort was put into it, it probably only took a total of only 1-2 hours (fast to me). I just wanted to see how a gate would work out. However, sadly it is one of my best maps so far.
Dont get me wrong, it's a well made map, but it's been done so many times now. If you applied the knowledge and skill used to make this, I bet you could create an original map instead of using the tired old 'zombie fort' formula.
Ok, I just don't Forge that much. :/ But if you can ever get a decent sized party I think it does play really different than most Fort maps.
