In asymmetric games, the Defense items are in the Hut. However, in symmetrical games like Neutral Bomb, Multi Flag, etc. the Defense items are outside of it. Now those of you that played this at TGIF (and hopefully didn't play FFA...), what did you think of the map?
This map was very intuitive and its originality was apparent. (To me that is). I'm hoping you continue to make maps like this.
FFA's are crazy on this map, crazy. I can't belive light made us play 16 person FFA on this. It was fun. The map is amazing, Can tell you how many times one of us fell off. (LULZ) Its a whole new playing area, making it teh epicz.
Amazing map, probably featured, pretty much what everyone else said. It's almost like you created another Blackout on Blackout (even though they don't look the same), it seems to be that epic. I will DL and check it out. Question: Did you make a base/floor of floating double boxes and then build off of that (like creating your own foundry floor on Blackout), or did you save/quit float + interlock every single object on the map?
As much as I hate to say it, since it brings back memories of endless frustration, I actually did save-quit interlock everything. It was a *****!! I would've made a floor, but I didn't have enough materials to do so since I had to build the map upward so high. On Blackout, all you really get that's useful are 24 Double Boxes, 8 Open Doubles, 16 Singles, 8 Open Singles, 16 Bridges, 8 Staircases, and 8 Walls. But the fact that Blackout has Wooden Boxes makes it totally worthwhile to Forge there. xD They're like Pallets to the EXTREME. Stupid Lights. xD You guys should've played like an epic 8v8 game of One Flag, One Bomb, or Territories. Asymmetric Objective games are the best for this map, and are always epic beyond belief. But it's good to see that FFA works on the map now, since it sucked balls during my beta tests. Good to know my fixes worked! And the main reason I made the map on Blackout was because of the death barrier. Without rails like on Guardian, you have to watch what you're doing! It adds that "WTF?!" factor to games, which I live for. Thanks to everyone for playing this map and commenting on it!!
Interrobang is one of the best maps I have ever played on! 10/5. Green fiends works so well on it. 10/5 for that too. Interrobang should definitely be featured!
This map is much more complex than I thought it would be! I was truly shocked at how much was actually in this map. It grabbed Ash55's attention, and it looks like your map will be in the next community favorites. Congrats!
Seems like you used all of those in that map. And I thought save/quit-ing 8 open doubles, 8 fence boxes, 8 bridges, and 8 shield doors for my floating map on standoff (Azure Trail) was a pain in the ass. Isn't forging just so much fun?
it is very cool that you have done this on blackout but i also think that this forge has way to many weapons
Thanks! I hope it gets featured too. xD Green Fiends was really fun to design and test. I had originally planned for Zombies to start with Sentinel Beams, but due to the game's limitations I had to settle for Plasma Pistols. But it turned out alright in my book. Oh boy, yeah it is... >.> Which is why I'm so happy to be back Forging in Foundry. It's literally 1000x easier now, since Blackout taught me how short a fuse I really have. =O And my Rat's Nest map should own too! Does that make me a kiss-ash? Haha bad pun... Seriously though, Gridlocked deserves community Faves just as much as Interrobang does. For gameplay and double open boxes with plasmas in them alone. Actually, there are a lot of weapons because the map's really big. Play on it and DL it, and you'll see just how big the thing really is.
Looks very unique no doubt about that. This map is very good and would love to check it out. Good work Debo
Cool map. That is professional floating objects lol and the merging is great and makes it just cool enough to DL. 3/5
Just... ummmmm... as an FYI... the map is made floating in the sky above Blackout. There is no map geometry up there, making merging absolutely impossible. I'm hoping that you're referring to interlocking. Hoping. Because if you're not...
Thanks! I worked on the thing from 4-24 through 6-15, so it's good to see that at least some of that time was well-spent.
