Video: Video (GameVee) Canvas: Foundry Map Size: Medium-Small Player count: VIP (1) - (other) 16 __________________________________________________ Description: I have updated this map and this now includes checkpoints and a much smoother teleporter system (thanks to Fallenrat). As many of you know, I love to learn and perform all kinds of jumps. I have created a course dedicated to perfecting my (and everyone else's) jumping skills. I have been working on this course for a few days, but a lot of time has been put into it. It contains loads of intersecting and some geo-merging; like a normal map I would forge. I have tested this map a lot and every obstacle is possible, even if it is very difficult. I tried to incorporate as many jumps and tricks from normal Bungie maps into this map as possible. Although they do not really look like jumps from default maps, the same techniques still apply, better preparing you for those and much much more. This map works for Slayer (not Team) along with my custom variant -Challenge-. Good Luck & Happy Jumping! __________________________________________________ Screen Shots: Portal to the Beginning- You may now walk into the door to return to the last checkpoint. The first portal you must jump still, but it is much, much smoother. Beginning- you spawn on the white strip on the ground Crouch Jump- not particularly difficult, but practice nonetheless Delayed Landing- ever jumped from the blue room to sniper 1? Or along the top pillars of Epitaph? Bounce Jump- Who doesn't like a good bounce? Corner Maneuver- For those time saving jumps Slide Jump- Slanted wall = higher jump Irregular Slide Jump- Same as above, but you always need to account for variation Equipment Jump 1st Half- So you can poop jump, but can you double jump around a corner? Equipment Jump 2nd Half- Don't go towards the light Course Complete!- Hoorah!
Yea. This is my first one. I basically wanted a challenging map to improve my jumping skills...so i forged this one. I haven't really seen any other jumping maps
Wow you haven't seen ANY other jumping maps? Seriously, they're everywhere. As for the map, it looks good, so you get my DL.
wow this will really help me with jumping skillz! some of these jumps i've never seen before! great job!
this map looks pretty cool for jumping training but theres plenty of jumping skill maps. theres one on narrows, sandtrap (not stairway), and Miles (DON'T USE THE GAMETYPE) its way to hard lol. your map gets 1 more DL.
Sweet. And I have heard of Miles, but i have never checked it out. I'll do that now. Btw, my best time from like 3 official runs is 1:26. The time varies...a lot.
Whats so special about the gametype? If it changes speed/gravity it really doesnt help you get much better at MM or MLG jumping, just my opinion. From the pics it actually looks like it might be a fun Conquest map after a few adjustments.
You look down throw the equiptment and at the same time you push the A button so you jump off the radar jammer. It gives you a nice boost.
you tele doors havent been working for me...... but other then that this is extreamly easy you may want to build different dificulties.
Yea, it can be easy or hard. I built this map to practice medium difficulty maneuvers. It is just training to perfect all kinds of maneuvers or jumps and know how to deal with each situation. The teleporters you just walk into & jump... The gametype is also nothing special. All it does is give you a destination marker, make you white, remove radar, give you a magnum, and remove grenades. It keeps gravity and speed normal (whoever was saying it changed it? And i agree with said person's statement, changing gravity/speed would be stupid).
Please tell me there's a brute shot in here. I can't quite tell from the pics if you did thid or not, but it would be cool if you could replicate some of the more diffucult jumps already in the default maps.
GRR... this was so frustrating... but I finally beat it. BTW people the teledoors do work you just have to enter at an exact spot (top-right corner of the door).
It's a teleporter that brings you back to the start. I shouldn't have to "figure it out". The whole thing was kinda short and meh.
i know im sry if i sounded like it was pointless.. i was saying its super easy for me.. and it is very good practice and very well made.. the gametype is perfect for this and as you said nothing special but i works..and the shield doors... i wish you could just walk into them but that no big deal.. good job over all.
