Novacaine is a medium sized map specifically set up for team based games. The map was ispired by Onslaught and Amplified. I recommend being 4-8 players using the MLG versions of Team Slayer, Multi Flag or Multi Team. Novacaine has a small structure in the middle, kinda formed like a 'X'. In front of it lies the yellow base. Behind it the green base. To the left: Red's, to the right: Blue's. On top of the 'x' is the sniper, which spawns after two minutes, and two plasma 'nades. The yellow base is more triangle like. In front of yellow base is the shotgun-beautifully mounted on a wall. On top of it sits a Covenant Carbine. And on the roof is a Spiker. On the opposit side of the map is the green base, with the same weapons-exept for a Rocket Launcher in the tunnel instead of a shotgun. It is more square-formed, and has stairs on the sides. An Active Camo can be found on the roof. The red and blue bases sit in the west and east ends of the map. There are some walls sunk into the bases to offer cover. In asymmetric games, there will be a turret on the edge of Red's base. I can't really describe the two bases, so you'll have to look at the pics. The boxes at the walls of Foundry are Geo-merged so it looks as clean as possible. It took me about ten minutes to just geo-merge one box! Changes: I altered some of the spawns and replaced all weapons with CCs, BRs, Plasma 'nades and Frag 'nades. I also took away all equipment. Now for some info: • the map was built by me(only). • it took me a week to build the map. • geo-merging, mounting, interlocking and some other stuff has been used in the map. • The map's name was inspired by Green Day's song: "Give me novacaine". weapons: 8 Battle Rifles, 45 seconds, 1/2 clip 4 Covenant Carbines, 60 seconds, 1 clip 1 mauler, 150 seconds, 1 clip equipment: 6 Plasma 'Nades, 10 seconds 8 Frag 'Nades, 10 seconds Now for some pics: Please note that some of the pics are from the original version! um, MLG dont use shotguns. But otherwise a very nicely made map. The middle X, to me, looks a bit tacky. Not saying it doesnt look well made, or anything just looks a bit off to me. Great looking map, get rid of the shotty and you've got an MLG map. 8.3/10 (A)
Thanks for 8.3/10! But there's no shotgun. The pics are from the old version. If you look at the list of weapons, you see that there's no shotgun . Also: I wanted the the parts to look different. For example: The green base looks like a 'T', the yellow base looks like a 'V' and the middle thing looks like a 'X'. So I guess it's a 9.3/10 now that you know (^^,)
ya he took the pictures from the original version and if u look at the weapons list u can see there is NO shotgun Edit: wow thats creepy!! u posted a message at like the same time I did and we posted the same thing basically! Now thats creepy.... BOO lol
Sorry I'm a bit tired and could be bothered reading. No shotty you say, well I'll have to give this 9.1/10. I think it may be suited for a mauler. But I'll find out later. As for the layout I think it is good, I was just saying the middle X looked a bit weird to me. You have received a dl, my friend.
Heh my first impressions were - Amplified rip off. However this map is quite unique I like the bases they are quite dashing whilst the rest of it looks to fit the MLG style games that im getting addicted to latley so good job I would download however none of my friends enjoy MLG but **** it ill download anyway

hey wait a minute ive seen this map before why is it the same one all over again? but if you called it v2 then we wouldnt have this problem
this map is very solid and it looks like it suits MLG very well. but what i think can be improved are the bases, there is enough cover on top, its very open to attack. also i noticed in that in your description it has only battle rifles and carbines, but in the pictures it has fusion coils. i did read that the pictures were from the old version, it would help to have updated pictures. but back to fusion coils you probably know that MLG dont use them. For a map like this i would suggest to just have a mauler in the middle. but anyway ill download and give this map ago. ill send you a invite to the MLG social group.
Hey nice job looks like a fun capture the flag map or team slayer but it looks kinda bare to me alot of open space
lol I did not copy Amplified. Why would I do that? I can't see how this is similar to Amp in any way.
I loved this map. I downloaded it and messed around with my friends. We played KotH and it played awesomly. The only flaw was you can capture the hill from the bottom, and it is hard to find where they are. Great map!
Not a bad map, not sure if anyone has told you yet, (sorry if they did) but turrets aren't MLG. The yellow base also reminds of the yellow base from MLG Amplified.
More cover in the bases. And is that a Fushion coil? MLG dont use Fushion coils. Otherwise the geometry looks pretty solid. U got great interlocking and merging. But I would re-do the pic.People are bound to get confused about what things are and are not on the map.
