That is a very hard question. I've grown up through so many generations of games. Now that I think of it, easiest question ever. Henry Stauf I guess none of you guys would have a clue who that is? Henry Stauf was the 'evil' guy in the game; The 7th Guest. He was sidistic and had the most one-liners of any character in history (well comes close).
I dont really have a favourite, though I think pokemon is awesome so pokemon would be one of my favs. But personally I love Big Daddys from Bioshock which is an absolutely amazing game.
My favorite game character would have to be the the SGT Marine and his men you group up with in Halo 1 on the mission 343 Guilty spark at the end when you make a last push to the center of the swamps while holding off the flood onslaught! That was my favorite Halo 1 moment.

Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series. The way the games are made is absolutely awesome, and the voice acting is as good as it can get.

Sonic The Hedgehog all the way, that or Old school Megaman. V Megaman for those who dont know. Rock on little guy, rock on.
Old Snake from MGS4.... immense character, cool voice and is featured in the best game ever made. And he smokes like he doesnt give a toss.

Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage/ Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3. I'll also add that I like Ike from Fire Emblem. Those two are my favorite characters of all time. Almost equals to me really. Edit: I'm actually getting the feeling that Snake was modeled after Chuck Norris. Don't they both have mullets?
