TBH i think that no one who said they thought Portal had the best ending acctualy meens it. What i think you meen, is that you "liked" the boss battle and what was said during it. "accutaly, its my waste ball, go ahead, rub your face all over it" is probabaly the funniest bit ever. I thought portals ending was more af a funny ending than a serious one. My fave is definately CoD4, i meen, come on, who was expecting that!?!
I thought that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Trials and Tribulations had a pretty great ending. Especially when you consider that it was the conclusion to a trilogy of games, really wrapped things up nicely. Plus Godot is such a cool character.
I havent finished or played some of the games on the list. From the list my favourite is Halo 3. I loved the ending to Assassin's Creed. What do people think of the ending to Saint's Row, I found it to be completely retarded.
Oh yeah the Darkness, I remember how much I loved that game. For about a month, it was like the only thing I played.
Out of the given: Portal. But out of all the games I've played: Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Because you are so happy you beat the OMGWTFImpossible last boss on 'I am Death incarnate!' difficulty. The ***** kills you just by thinking about you dieing! I said Halo 2 as a joke, Super Smash Bros has the best ending out of any video game. Though I still think H2's ending was pretty epic.
Well COD 4 Mile High Club at the end of the credits was cool but driving the hog at the end with everything exploding around you seriously made my day!
