I originally got the idea for this map while watching Pans Labyrinth, during the scene inside the tree and thought it would be cool to have a really narrow map. I also wanted to have a map where the football was necesarry to win the game. So thats why i named it after my favorite footballer, Peter Crouch, and because you have to crouch if your the flag scorer. The idea was also kind of obtained from griffball, because i wanted halo to have another sort of sports map. In order for this map to work you need 5v5. 4 people from each team spawn up top and one from each team spawn below. The object is for the 4 teammates up top to keep their person in the tunnel alive and help him reach the other teams flag by killing the other teams member in the bottom. Each player has only one life and after they die they go into a room where they pointlessly battle against the other team. I did this because I'm sick of games where you have only one life and you just have to sit and watch the rest of the time. The game ends after nine rounds and each round has a maximum time of 6 minutes. there are 4 brs 2 brute shots, 2 turets, 2 maulers, a radar jammer, a trip mine, 2 mongesse, 2 camos, and 4 assault rifles. also after three minutes into each round all grenades and stuff spawn on the bottom so if theres a stalemate the bottom people can try to kill each other. Also all you have to do is reach the flag, once you pick it up your team gets a point anda new round starts. Screens: Where 1 team starts. Knd of an overview the other side looks the exact same. The bottom part where the two people battle to try to push the bll to where they need to get the flag. Once the ball is pushed all the way to the end you reach the flag. On top of the bottom part. Another overview Where you go to battle after you die. There are some snipers and other fun weps in here. Since this may seem unclear from all the wordy descriptions I gave heres the basic idea two people battle to push the football foward while their people up top keep them alive. Also if anyone wants to play this with me send mean invite my sn in Kangaroo Killa.
wow seems interesting wont the people in the bottom end up going no wheres? or do the people up top kill the other pusher while trying to stay alive? and can the guy in the tunnel shoot upwards to help or defend? and claims to the first post
Seems very interseting but the whole idea is'nt that clear, do you mind clearing it up alittle bit, sorry to be a bother because the map does look very original and cool!
thanks for pointing out a lot of good points lol. The bottom people are supposed to pretty much go nowhere until there uptop people kill their opposition. the bottom dude can shoot up, but then he might lose some momentum on the ball and its hard to regain the momentum.
Great description and great idea. I'm not a big fan of crouching but it looks like you won't even notice here. Nice interlocking, and it looks like 5v5 will work in a real small area. This map sure works, I will dl and me and my buds will play it in a lan party. What a creative idea, 5/5. Edit: For some clarification, the back tunnel, where you go after you die, is that closed in? Or what's the story with that. Do you just go there after you die and just goof around till there's a new round, rather than just sitting doing nothing?
Yea its closed in, you go there after you die and battle it out with th other teams dead members. theres a bunch of fun weps andequipment in there.
loks good. i like the room you spawn in once u die, should add some suspense because u cant see whats goin on in the game.
it really shouldnt theres a lot of strategy and what not goin into it. its a fairley balanced map and its mainly abouttaking chances, to answer the other comment idk where the map belongs but i guess its kinda a minigame.
Just to get back to you, yomtvraps, I dled the map and played it in my lan party this morning. It gave us some good laughs, yet still had a competetive edge. We played two games, out of 18 rounds, only one was a stalemate.
