You're right, it wasn't even that good. Personally I would have prefered prisoner with some really good forge items, but that's just me.

Go play it right now tell me it's not a pain in the ass to move around in and little to no cover in each room. Might be different with Halo 3 movement but I don't think so. Will just have to wait and see I guess.

It LOOKS like Epitaph, the walls and stuff, but obviously theres no sheild doors or anything so its not. It looks a lot like the Chillout Nexn made, just made out of real stuff not Foundrys boxes and walls
suppose it's just a difference in how we play. I don't mind BR battles but the lack of cover? gotta have something to duck behind every now and then and Chill out has nothing in it.
Youd be surprised. I watched a 2v2 to 50 on it and theres plenty of cover to use.. dont forget bubbles and regen's also (both on the map). There's also a power drain. A lot of action took place around doorways and corners, but cover certainly isnt an issue as far as i can tell Oh yeh, and this marks the return of the teleporter to Halo 3 (outside of Forge)...and they are blue.
alright fair enough, I just hope they expand the hallways a bit because of h3's retarded beat down system.
lol nope, definitely blue and look pretty cool. Oh i forgot about the tele's in Avalanche, but yeh, blue now, and cooler. I didn't see much forge-use for the map though.. but there did look like some places you could get out of the level (like behind some glass and whatnot)
Wow, I am soo glad and shocked at this. I'm gonna go play Halo 1 right now and check out Chillout again.
It's also possible they have added some extra scenery stuff (forgable most likely) for some extra cover over the Halo 1 version as well. I still wont be impressed until I see better pictures and get more of a feel for the layout or play the map myself. The updated graphics do look wicked as though and the orange goo stuff looks interesting.
