wow.. that is amazing. as soon as i saw that this map was by brute captain i knew it would be good. but one thing- the fact that many of the weapons are "mounted" on the walls- won't that affect gameplay? i know for a fact that many last-minute kills can be made by picking up a weapon off the ground unexpectedly. for this- you would have to walk up to the wall and do that. so how does it work?
i think i see a future featured map! i dunno yet tho, i'll have to download it and try it out. from the pictures tho i really love the rounded bridge wall with the brute shot, aestheticly it looks amazing. and the geomerged wall interlocked into the stairs looks like it was kind of hard. anyway i will be back with more elaborate feedback after i play it.
Great map Brute! I wish I was on to test, but I got tied up in Age of Conan. (Great game by the way) Anyways, I will be forging soon, if I need testers, I'll give you a shout. Otherwise, great map as I stated above, amazing interlocking and merging, and good use of window panels. I can't wait to play, have a good one, De5troy999
You think this looks good in the picture, you need to download this now. Flux is 100x better when you play through it, it accually looks like some map that bungie would have thought up and created. Mentioning that bungie is a company that makes video games for a living and Brute Captain is just a member of this forum. 4.9/5 because there is never a perfect map. -CaMOfo
Yeah, I hadn't seen you on in awhile, but glad you have returned. I did miss you for the testing too... but thanks for the feedback.
Well considering I requested to have it locked because I updated it that comment doesn't make sense. Oh, and I love mounting too, looks awesome.
Looks like alot of time has been spent and i love the interlocking and merging also the weapons on the walls Great job 5/5
You have some sort of secret to having perfect geomerging. With me, it always gets tilted a little and is always uneven. I'm guessing that for the stairs you first geo-merged the wall and then placed the staircase? It looks very even (I would probably have trouble with it). I can't come to conclusions just from pictures, so for gameplay wise I don't know how good it is (and I prob wont know ever because I don't have many friends who play custom ((or custom slayer for that matter *cough* infection*)) Sorry for that lack of review (which should be half of my post) but I can't review on everything for every map. The map itself looks very clean and smooth with very precise geo-merging. Some things are very aesthetic which means you didn't just place some double box vertically, but rather put single boxes and dumpsters to make it all the more cool. The curved area where the bruteshot is is a nice change from just a flat wall. You also took time to place weapon holders to give a nice look instead of just putting them flat on the ground. My concern is that all of these structures are unrelated to each other. I think you should have an overall feel to your maps, but maybe that's just your style. But overall looks very good, but I don't know about gameplay so I won't comment about that.
Well, I can tell you one thing, placing that wall behind the stairs (The one in the ground) was the hardest thing I have ever done. And I actually had placed the stairs first. As for the structures, I myslef kinda thought they all seemed tied together, I definately got a certain overall feel of the map, but just let me know what you think.
i disagree. i thought all the structures looked like the fit well together. its hard to give a uniform look to a level built in foundry while still keeping uniqueness, gameplay and asthetics in mind. i still dont know how you geomerge so well. i wish i had that skill when i was building my new map... the floors are a bit bumpy anyways, this is one of my favorite maps, i just want that to be known.
Amazing use of the different types of interlocking Brute going to download and check it out looks like another winner
Hmmm.... well I didn't actually make a "V2". I never do that really, I just swapped a slightly updated version out for the first one in the first day.... so yeah. I probably won't update again...
