Flux This desolate structure is of an unknown origin and reason as to why it was abandoned. 4-8 players Author: Brute Captain Well, after making my last map, I knew things would only get harder for me in forge. Much harder actually. So, I set off to make a map, but not just any map, something that before I would never have though myself able to construct. But, after alot of hard work and the most frustrating time I have spent in forge, I have completed Flux. Map Geometry: Flux is has an interesting layout. For the majority of the level, it rests on the ground floor of Foundry. Throughout the entire middle section of the playable area, there is a large curved wall like structure. At various points in the wall there are different access points that can be traversed through. Also, in the Red base, there is a large "dumpster collumn", a ramp/platform piece, a curved extrusion of bridges, an extruding console with window panels to house the Overshield, and a layered area made from boxes that is enclosed at the top. In the side hallways there are various tall wall section sticking out to provide cover and mix up the gorund space. At the blue base there is an identical "dumpster collumn" and console to house the Camoflauge. But, instead of the ramp structure, there is a box along to the wall with fence walls in the back to jump up on and a dividing wall in the middle. i absolutely love the interlocking and merging done here. the things that really caught my attention was the way you used the stairs and cover them up with walls, what you did with the window panels, the hexagon? looking walls, and that the weapons are on the walls/boxes. great job
Looks nice and clean. I will dl and test it out as well. The interlocking and merging looks good from the pictures. I will let you know how it goes.
Lets start off with saying this is probably your best map. It has so many great aesthetic features it blew my mind. -gravity hammer wall -floating power drain -dumpster, box, dumpster ,box towers -upside down stairs ah, the list goes on Not to mention a story, which i always like in amp. The interlocking is perfect, and the geo-glitching is amazing. There were very few problems i could see, in fact, i can't even remember any important ones at least. Your level of detail and skill ay making aysemetrical maps surpasses a lot of people on forge hub. I got to give this one a 5/5 * * * * * This is feature worthy
Very professional map. The structures look great and the forge tricks and perfect. A definite download and I hope this gets featured. Keep making maps like this for the sake of ForgeHub
I knew you were working on a great map, but this just blows my expectations. The merging looks perfect, and the walls in the stairs looks pretty creative/original and gives the stairs a much more smoother look. The weapon placement is fantastic and I really like the dumpsters. You have great balance in the map (as does all of them) and I can see some intense slayer games going on here. Overall the map is freakin sweet up the butt. =]
I am very glad to see you liked those things. All the things you listed were put in just for awesomeness, and it makes me feel appreciated when you give feedback like that. Also, that was VERY quick, you held true to your word, you said you'd check it out, five minutes later, you came back. THanks alot.
love everything about it...the only question i have is "can you walk in the big tube thing it shows in pic 1?"
I do not even want to know how long it took you to put those walls into the stairs and into the foundry floor. There is nothing that seems wrong at all. It blows some (well-all..) your maps out of the water. I would think the only complaint I can muster at this point is that you kind of overdid the weapon holder in the wall thing. I noticed that you interlocked the second row of boxes down into the ground floor boxes (if that doesn't make any sense-see the top right of the 2nd picture). Oh and to give this post a noob flavor... nice job 5/5
