Wow!!! That's pretty intens but i get it dnt tink it will help me much tho myt actually use spawn areas, bt dats it
LoL, w/e it deserves to be frontpaged anyways. And by quoting it, you are also giving the map more exposure. Pwnwaffles.
I didn't find it very confusing, I kind of already knew this stuff, just not the numbers. After you play Halo for a while, you're able to "guess" the area they're going to spawn next, which really helps in 1v1s. Great posts, they clarified some stuff for me.
I swear, you are a complete genius. I wouldn't have thought of that myself unless you mentioned it. Thanks for not keeping this to yourself.
If I could make a crosseyed smiley face I would. I understand it, but implementing it when i am making a map is a whole different story. How long did it take you to figure all this out? : )
Thanks you helped me a lot the only problem is i still don't fully understand. So i am rereading it. This will still help me out with a map i am making so thanks.
YAY! I got all the puzzles right! Very informative post, and it gives an interesting insight into the way the spawn system in Halo 3 works. This'll help me a lot in constructing specific spawn scenarios in future maps. Thanks a lot!
There are some things that I'm not completely sure of, and I have left out of the guide until I can test further. So it is, potentially, just a bit more complex than this.
This is a incredible discovery. Surprisingly i think i understood it all :squirrel_rocking::squirrel_jaffa:
wow its amazing how he actually figured this out but it makes no sence because i am not that good in math
It's a good theory, complicated... I understand, but I wouldn't really care that much to try it in a map for the sake that it could be completely incorrect (I don't think it is). The game programmers at bungie should release details about how the Halo 3 game engine runs spawn points, because that wouldn't be a theory, that would be a tutorial. Good job though to Devenish, it looks like he put a lot of thought into creating this
