my only concern is the streets look so empty, you could put some fork lifts and some truck or some other kind of scenary, i really like the map just the emptiness is bugging me
What do you think a fair amount would be? My only reason for having a lot is because the flow of the map keeps players in certain areas for a good amount of time, so I wanted to make sure that a lack of ammunition wouldn't make players abandon their strategic positions, just to reload their guns. Thanks for feedback! I'm looking ahead to make a v2, so everything is appreciated.
Agreed...I was also thinking that when making the map. The reason it plays well is because of its simplicity, but I was having trouble with what to add in the streets to add texture without restricting the long lines of site. Suggestions? (besides forklifts and trucks...those are both good ideas.) Also, in v2 I'm thinking about adding some wire spools or crates and stuff like that in the garages/side bases for a nice homey feel.
yea really I understand this is a BR map but still throw in some others unless you want it to be MLG. it looks good but there could of been a little more interlocking done to make the map easier to navigate good job on the rest 4/5
What areas need more interlocking? I'll def. look into that for v2. Some areas are hard to get around for a reason (if you are in the long hallway by the side-base, you have to go all the way around the double wall to get to the stairs so that you can access the upper base.)
Yeah, if I was going to add anything I was going to keep it slight so that it wouldn't affect gameplay that much.
There are some features I like. I don't know why, but I think this would be better without the house type buildings. The bridges running around everywhere would be great for going to different levels and open headshots
by the pictures, this map looks really open, the map looks good, but the good parts are divided by big hallways of nothingness...
Thats what I was going for....I wanted to isolate the fighting into long-range battles from between buildings rather than just have a run-and-gun festival. It does look weird, but it seems to play out nicely.
Yea, I prefer the MLG weapon choice. However, it seems like a lot of people prefer a little weapon variety...so I'll just watch the comments and see how it plays out.
