DOWNLOAD MIDDLE GROUND Middle Ground is the first map created by BJFDragon and Poyver, and is best played with Team Slayer. Middle Ground is a fairly large map that can be played with around 4-12 players. There's a fairly large amount of weapons, grenades, and equipment. Basically, the idea of Middle Ground was to have a quick way to get to the middle part (the man-cannons on each side) and also a long way (the tunnels that eventually meet in the middle). As well, battles could also occur on the outsides of the map and at the back. Although Middle Ground has many places to hide, it actually plays suprisingly wide-open. We also tried to make Middle Ground as symmetrical as possible. first don't double post not only triple post. second of all i love the map it is well put together and looks like a map to settle a grudge on
It looks as though you understand the concept of merging, but you did not use it to your advantage when you could have. Learning leads to success!
Looks good, reminds me of some of forgehub's original featured maps. The problem being is that this is not what I'd call a modern forged map. There appears to be no interlocking, which is pretty much essential to making a successful map nowadays. It may play well, I'm not sure but there's no interlocking which may detract some people. On a lighter note, it does look like it would support TS pretty well, and the general layout does looks pretty good.
Hey Poyver. I like this map and it can be fun but I don't think this was our best work. I think Harbringer will be but I feel it needs some adjustments before we finish it. But good job on posting the map.
i swear the community maps just keep getting better and better. I haven't seen a bad one in a while. this map looks excellent! awesome layout and design, honestly i don't see anything wrong with it. well done!
Umm. What the hell? Anyways, yeah, it looks clean and mostly well organized, though I do agree with other people's mentions of the lack of interlocking. Since this is your first map, that's perfectly fine. My only question is, what advantage does the center/middle ground provide? What is the incentive to go there?
Nice use of merging, usually flamethrower isn't a good choice in a map, but looks like it work in yours.
Well, basically you can control where you want your opponent to go. We placed a sword in the open single box middle part so that you could slice n' dice the people jumping over the man-cannons, thus forcing them through the tunnels. Alternatively, you could also be able to do the opposite, force them through the man-cannons while guarding the tunnel with the sword. We also placed barriers and BRs on top of the tunnels for an effective way to attack the opposition. Also there is an active camo which is a very good combo with the sword in this map. If the enemies spawn at the back of the map, then you can either wait for them to come under the stair part in the middle, or over top, using the grav lift near the rockets.
u do no mlg does not have any equipment and also does not use the firebomb grenades. other then that it looks like a good map
