It's easy to develop a bias in such a small established community, especially after all these years without a new title, which means very little new blood. Those who do play regularly either live in game or don't really care to comment in a web forum. I'm still down for having a comment section, that can be enabled or disabled, added to the map/object rating system within the game itself. A place for people that don't want to come to an external website but still want to leave feedback. I would actually love it if there was a way to have an in game discussion be able to be linked via some form of API to external sites/forums so that you could choose to engage externally or internally and have the info displayed alongside a map. And I don't mean a Microsoft or 343 specific site, I mean you could link it to your prefered site provided that site supported the API. I would also love it if you could get better breakdowns of a map/object stats and ways to manipulate them. A huge one would be how many times a map has been played. The ability to export all this info via an API would also be a great way for site frequenters to have up to date stats on any particular maps or objects. Something like that could allow for an automated Forgehub page that automatically displayed most played new maps outside of it's curated lists. I would also like to be able to break down my searches similar to what Bungie did years ago with the ability to define most liked/most played/most downloaded in the last day, week, month, year, all time. Hmm, that changed into a wish list pretty quick.
Check out mine and Tomton24's latest map. A biathlon but in halo! https://www.forgehub.com/maps/summer-biathlon.7578/
Community engagement is a weak spot for myself, here is latest forge I have been working on has no name just date for name 05202020. It is just a build for screen captures for now like most other maps I have forged.
I want to do halo 5 2v2 tier list video after my last bastion design doc. I know this always gets people fired up, but what is everyone's top 5 2v2 maps in halo 5 from beginning to end, and short summery of why? And yes your own maps should be considered for the list if you are going to participate, you aren't humble just because you leave them out, that's just you trying to look good. Just be as honest to your thoughts as you can be, even if you think you are a god and all your maps are top 5. The video will still be ultimately my thoughts and my tier list but i want to get some outside perspective to consider before i compile my own Also, the tier list will be made publicly available to everyone, with all the 2v2 maps ready to go, after my video uploads. So you will be able to make your own 2v2 tier list. The more people that submit tier list using my template on tiermaker.com will contribute to a community vote and everyone will be able to see the popular community ranking of 2v2 maps. Great way to end halo 5s forge life span
I was about to send this. You definitely couldn't add a lot of this stuff. Sinoviet crate, that 6-wheeled vehicled, destroyed warthog, rebar with fractured concrete, transport warthog, whatever that scaffolding thing is, etc. are all things that weren't in forge before and for sure weren't in Foundry. It looks like they'll be expanding Forge, I just hope they make monitor-mode less floaty, Physics mode for objects (phased, fixed, normal), we get things like angle-snapping and overall, just all the things that made Forge more streamlined from Reach onward. Bonus Pic: AA Wraith and Elephant on Avalanche Pretty excited.
That's like the farthest outpost I've seen, such a pale horse. Where is it though, I can't find it in your bookmarks? Dawg.
