when we got to our hotel (The Renaissance in Times Square) my wife went through the entire room with Clorox wipes on every single surface and the sprayed Lysol everywhere. She has made me wash my hands 30 times a day and of course use hand sanitizer as well. Then after each day out on the town as soon as we got back I had to clean my phone and shower immediately. As annoying as it has been I’m sure we are respecting this virus lol.

    Just to clarify: https://twitter.com/JantasOO/status/1238798870806659074
Date of the first newspaper: February 9
Date of the second newspaper: March 13
And this is only the local newspaper of Bergamo, an italian city.
We have a really really good healthcare system but it isn't enough. I'm also sparing you to watch or read the interviews of italian doctors.

I’m still not back yet, but my local news (Odessa Tx) said all of the grocery stores are completely out of stock of toilet paper and some other foods and such. There was also a stabbing at the Sam’s Club in the neighboring city (Midland Tx). It’s getting crazy, and it’s all absolutely unnecessary.

I did. Went shopping recently, and had to order half of my ingredients from Amazon.

Apparently the caronavirus can't hurt you so long as you stock up on San Marzano tomatos and buy the whole shelf!

    Amazon wins.

Yeah, luckily my family in Weatherford help me stock up before we came home because everyone has emptied out the stores here. Odessa/Midland is at least 400,000 people with 4 Walmart’s, 4 HEB’s, 2 or 3 Targets, at least 6 Albertsons/Market Streets, and hundreds of convenience stores and truck stops all raided for toilet paper and other essentials.

I finally found the first intelligent thing to be fully out of stock and that's rice. At least the asian community gets it.

Only thing I couldn't buy were toilet paper and the handsoap was kinda scarce. All schools, restaurants, bars, sportclubs and coffeeshops are closed for three weeks since today.

I don't have a desk job so I can't work at home so let's see if I have any colleagues left today.

Nothing shut down here but then again we only have one infected in the entire city. A minor scare at a school that got shut down but otherwise nothing. I don't think there's been any big change in the way we do things here other than the movie theatres halving their seating and of course big up on sanitizing everywhere you go.

The only real issue is cruise ships but I believe they are trying to stop them from docking here.

Yeah movie theaters and theaters/concerts in general are closed or cancelled here as well, every gathering of more than 100 people is forbidden. Pretty much everything at this point.

Scientifically it was in considerating ofcourse but the genaral public kinda demanded the closing of the schools. The 'vital-job' kids have to go to school like kids from police, grocerie stores, garbagemen, firefighters and ofcourse healthcare.

Well see if it helps, stay safe y'all.

I went to walmart friday in a low-middle income area to get grill food for our baby shower and there were sections of shelves missing. A couple hours later i went back because my mom was worried my wife and I would starve to death so we went and got groceries and the store was almost completely cleaned out.

Saturday we are up on the side of the mountains in a high income area for the shower and my wife forgot something so i went to a Maceys nearby and the store was fully stocked with everything; Toilet paper, cleaning supplies, food, water, medicine, hand sanitizer, etc. My first thought was, "of course the lower income people are ****ing stupid enough to freak out compared to the higher incomers."

Statistically and comparitively this is the most blown out of proportion thing ive ever seen in my life. Hillary clinton is more of a threat to your life than this ****. Crashing the economy, buying out grocery stores nationwide, shutting everything down. It makes me mad as hell.

If you look on the brightside though, now that murderers cant kill their babies because the abortion clinics are all closing, the coronavirus is actually a net positive on life rather than death. 2500 abortions a day in the US compared to 6500 Covid19 deaths worldwide over 4-5 months.

Covid-19 is a new strain of corona virus. Corona Virus is not new it is a family of viruses. Sars was a strain of Corona Virus. I have heard that in climates such as Italy's the virus flourishes, but I have been trying to find stats for "by country and age" to see because going by word of mouth is stupid. Cause you hear things like "my friend went to Italy and he was really healthy and now he is on a respirator." That is questionable to me on a couple levels. You don't know if that person has some unknown condition that makes them more susceptible to the virus, you don't know if they put themselves in a particular condition that allowed the virus to cause more harm to them and plenty of other factors we as dumb asses can't consider.

I think it is clear based off the conflict of opinion of doctors and data that appealing to authority is just going to cause you to get sucked into something that clearly has plenty of hysteria attached to it already and that is dangerous in it's own right.

    CRYSTAL CLEAR

After a very long time without a console, I finally picked one up last summer and set to work on the above map called Power Surge on H2A which is a design I've had in my head for about 10 years. Whilst functionally it played pretty much how I wanted it to, it was also ugly af. Now I've had a bit more time getting used to H2A forge, I decided to start again from scratch on Bloodline (because I love it's skybox) to create an altogether cleaner and more polished version. Here it is:

The idea of the aesthetic was to create it entirely out of block pieces and glass pieces to create a consistent look - I did have to compromise in a few areas (I had used up all blocks and decorative objects) but I don't think these small sections take too much away from the overall feel. In terms of the actual design, here are the main changes:
    - slight increase in dimensions
    - redesigned courtyards
    - the 'interior' is no longer enclosed: the roof is accessible, albeit with a soft kill boundary, and can be used to drop down on the interior from above
    - the aesthetic design of the map provides lots of new nooks and crannies which can be used to add an extra dimension to gameplay

For reference, here is the design of the previous version of the map (not updated yet to reflect the changes on the new version):

The map is ready to test for Slayer but I haven't set up objectives yet. I've got 37 objects left to use, is this enough for setting up objectives? I've only used 40 spawn points so far which I imagine isn't really enough so I might have to compromise and skip a few gametypes. I'm also considering removing the grav lift 'supports' of the structure to free up some objects as they aren't really necessary considering people only see them when they fall off the map.

I'm having issues with objects moving slightly out of position whenever I save and reload no matter how many times I try to fix it (which is causing some bumps and affecting the aesthetics)... is this a common issue in H2A and is there any way of countering it? I'm close to giving up trying to stop it from happening, so frustrating.

If anyone is keen to test it or just play customs in general add my gametag (CSJ Cam).

Italy has a ton of issues at the personal and local social level that can help spread it, I’m not surprised in hindsight. I was planning on being there this year for school, so I’m glad that didn’t work out. Weird times we live in. 100+ years of domestic, monetary, and foreign policy blunders is getting a little tiring.

Man I feel like we could be BFF’s if you only believed in God haha!

in other news. Local schools are taking a 2 week break which added to spring break (last week) is 3 weeks total. Little league sports are also included. Meanwhile people with symptoms aren’t being tested because they don’t meet ALL criteria. If you have all the symptoms but have not traveled recently you can’t be tested. I asked if my wife & I could be tested since we flew to NY and back and since we don’t have symptoms we can’t be tested.

so we could be spreading it without symptoms but not tested until we feel like we’re dying. This lady here works at a truck stop off interstate 20 and has all the symptoms but is being refused. Her truck stop is in the middle of Dallas and El Paso, major trucking route visited by thousands a day.
