I am trying to make a map that supports several styles of play, there will be sniper spots, vehicles, open areas, and areas with more cover for BR's and DMR's. I still haven't tested the map, and it's not yet finished so I'm not 100% sure how the map will play out, but I think it should support tactical gameplay pretty well.
Fortunately for stat tracking you dont have to assume. With platinum being the average player in division population stats and your highest being silver, youre two steps below average on Halo. Thats okay though not everyone is average. K/D is mostly irrelevant on a game with skill based matchmaking so your medal rank(or CSR score) would be the best indicator. You do mostly play infection, btb, etc. With that in consideration i dont believe you quite understand what tactical gameplay is if you think these playlists hold water to the typical competitive modes. Even the most modern call of duty black ops 4 has high survivability and isnt completely 'react first get the kill' so saying halo is this way isnt very accurate. I think you should spend more time in arena to better understand what it offers or reevaluate what it really is that drives your attraction to the casual modes over the arena modes. Also breakout seems like it would be your cup of tea. Forging is kinda gay TBH but welcome to forgehub. I think you should try making an infection map since you seem to enjoy it a lot! Consider purchasing forgehub platinum to help give you a competitive edge in the forging community.
I won't be online for about a week cuz I'll be in San Francisco but I should be on again next weekend
Yeah my next map after apprehension will most likely be an infection map. Apprehension will probably take a few more weeks of forging but I have already begun planning my next map. But I doubt I'll start forging it until apprehension is at least close to finished. That being said unlike apprehension (which is a very large btb map) my next map after it will be a much smaller map, either infection and or 4v4 (most likely infection) and it will have some influence off some old halo and cod maps. But I still haven't even got the full layout or design planned yet.
Funny, I’ll be in SF next weekend and won’t be online from the 19th thru the 22nd - drop me a line on Discord then, if you have it - icyhotspartin#5692
**** it, I'll be that guy. What you have is a frozen pizza that was left in the freezer for 3 years, pulled out then left on the counter for 3 days before being thrown into a non preheated oven set to 275 and pulled out 10 minutes early. Then you took some pictures of it and shared those on a culinary arts forum full of culinary students, enthusiasts and masters. Get what I'm saying? Sure it digestable, after all its pre cooked, but what makes anyone want to eat that pizza when there's so much better pizza, let alone food, out there?
Update to my WIP from a couple weeks ago. Initial block out is a little less than 3/4ths of the way done. Hopefully I can wrap the block out process up within a week or two.
I'm hoping when finished it will play and look better than a lot of maps. But I may be wrong. One thing I can guarantee like all my other maps, there was not be a single gameplay error, no ways people can get out of the map, no misplaced or overbearing boundaries and even the background will cover the players full field of view. I have even seen maps that get added to playlists where players can see around the pieces put into forge and it kind of ruins the visual effect. And others that contain player movement with shitty kill boundaries. My maps may not have the best gameplay or visuals but I make sure everything is patched up, there are no overbearing boundaries and the whole map is patched up visually.
It's not really ready yet - needs a lot of optimzing for lighting etc, but if you want to have a ganders https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/...mikanico_ae7c51b1-eaaf-46c1-92fe-962d78711c1c One thing I need to make sure of is that all the trick jumps are still possible. If anyone spots any that are missing, please shout.
Anyone know how to upload files in Reach to a secondary account. Every time I try to uplload maps on the secondary account it keeps telling me that I require live gold for that account. To my knowledge you don't not have to have live gold you just have to be on a system that has live on its primary account. I'm also logged into both accounts and it still isn't working. Also I'm only seeing 6 file share slots not 24.
