When I see that map all i think about is how dog one of my old GB teammates were as he continued to run into my spam and die giving me a penalty.
Why is nobody talking about Endgame?! It's ridiculous how well they wrapped up the Infinity saga with this movie. Going to see it for the third time this weekend. Avatar has to go.
He's a very knowledgeable psychologist, and he has some good life advise that I'm sure has helped a lot of people. Outside of that though he's incredibly nieve and cowardly when it comes to making any political normative claim. It's very hard for me to watch any interview or debate with him.
Well I mean, the left has gone so far left they censor and label everything alt-right. The man thinks about what he says and clearly makes an effort to remain bipartisan yet we all know how hes been treated. He has realistic world views and if that's so hard for you to consume I cant imagine you'd actually entertain anything more.
I saw him speak live last year, unannounced. He got stuck talking around his claim that a tree stump is a chair. @LargerFiend is right about normative claims, and political claims, because, at root, Peterson’s philosophy is one of pragmatic gamesmanship. There can be no normative claim in such a philsophical system other than what Peterson has already formulated, which is “win the greatest set of games as you can, but not too many, so you get invited back to the greatest possible set of games”.
What makes you think leftist in America have gone more left? The complete opposite has happened. If a moderate conservative from literally any other developed country outside of North America came over to the US, their views would be considered left leaning. Peterson picks his words carefully as to not make a normative statement on accident. He usually trys to make quite a few descriptive statements (saying what is factually), and almost never makes normative statements (what should be). He creates this ambiguity so he can strip himself of responsibility and walk back on every one of his unjustifiable claims. If you want an example of this, look at his interview with that dude from Vice. In the beginning, he states that men and women have been working in the workplace for about 40 years. During this time, things have been deteriorating very rapidly. (he specifies in the sexual harassment sort of way) In your mind, what does this make you think? To me it sounds like Jordan Peterson doesn’t believe men and women can work together in the workplace without sexual harassment occurring, and that it is getting worse. Literally 15 seconds later the interviewer states that there has been a drop in sexual harassment in the workplace, which is a fact. Peterson cut him off at this and said he doesn’t think there has been a reduction. In this moment he realizes that he ****ed up and tries to walk back on his statement. The interviewer, now confused, asks if he believes sexual harassment is the same as 40 years ago. Peterson then says he's not saying it's any better, and then immediately he says maybe it is better, and then finally that he doesn't know... Doesn't this seem ridiculous to you? It's dishonest. I don’t know what led you to think he is unbiased. If someone is constantly bashing the left, bashing feminists, doubts the scientific consensus on climate change while promote ****ing Prageru lmfao, refusing to recognize the difference between sex + gender, forming an unfounded view of C-16, and constantly networking with right-wing figureheads while ignoring the left (and no, "classical liberal" isn't left, they are just insecure conservatives), and finally makes a million descriptive claims that point to conservative viewpoints. Doing all of these has led him to cultivate a following that is almost exclusively Right leaning. He was a lot cooler before all the political/philosophy/history ****.
What makes you think leftist in America have gone more left? The complete opposite has happened. I have never been given such an opening in my life. There are a hundred angles i could come at this from. Forget it though i dont care im wrong youre right. I sincerely want to interview you on your life. I have so many questions to ask. I want to know your life story and your opinion on everything. Theres nothing in the world that would be more entertaining to me right now. I just want to hear you talk about stuff. You literally must be from another world. Can we actually do this? I can get a bunch of questions on a wide range of topics and just record the whole thing. We can do like an episodic adventure of largerfiends mind in podcast format. Or like a joe dirt type of deal. Dude i got so many ideas. Ive got full time work and school so it may be hard but we might be able to figure something out. Not trying to be disrespectful i just feel like your world views would be better than any fantasy novel ive read.
