I finally got the ductwork on my house redone and just got a new ac unit 6 months ago. It's been a magical summer
I really don't care if people think they're good but you've got to have a working map under your name man. Most of your maps aren't viable. I'll give you props on taking on a key map but come on dude.
@Xandrith Remember when we played Soldat's 1v1 map that had a Beam Rifle and a Damage Boost so you effortlessly spawn killed me like 5 times in a row.
Not to take a side, but.... I've seen a lot of unfinished maps from a lot of people, but I personally haven't seen enough from Soldat in Halo 5 to support these "facts" unironically. It's funny as a joke, but if we were making a circle jerk list of top forgers, I don't know where I'd put you. I feel like you need at least several progressively good designs or so to speak for yourself. And progression is important, because sometimes you aren't actually learning; you just get lucky and then make some DOG for months until you get lucky again. There's nothing inherently wrong with that; sometimes you just need to experiment until you find a collection of ideas and then mash them together. But I think the difference between an experimental process and a lack of growth is self-evident. Post some unfinished stuff or something. I mean I personally don't care about working maps. Building a map for Halo 5 is a creative death sentence. Just share something ambitious, stylistically interesting, and as intelligently built as possible, and the rest can be implied. It's going to be more difficult to finish maps in the future because the quality bar is going to raise. So I hope we get to a point where ambition and vision are valued higher. Otherwise we'll all be arguing over our one finished map for a year a piece.
Dammit soul, does my feedback mean nothing to you!? Let us know how the playtest went. I also gotta see the inside, i'm genuinely dying of curiosity.
Oh you mean that one FAKE ASS MAP where we found out how to spartan charge spawn kill each other? LOL that was funny
How the hecc is "Hunt down the rogue spartan in this maze of disorienting angles and hectic slopes. 1v1 2v2 & 3-6 player FFA" offensive language to 343i? What the fricc is wrong about this map description? I'm clueless to their holy knowledge. Edit: I think that they are scared of the ampersands. Edit #2: They literally consider '&' as 'offensive language'
Already looks better than most of the maps in the 1's comp lol. I'd run it with Xandy if his internet wasn't dropping every 2 seconds, if anyone here [good] wants to duel on it I'll run it.
Map is very choke pointy, outside is weak, castle is strong. Top bridge and castle atrium became the focus of all the matches so far, map became nearly repetitive
I haven't heard a good argument as to why bt, nd, or space junk "aren't viable" so i'll wait until someone does. However it is true that "most" of my past maps are not good, which doesn't say much about my current status
Okay which is why everyone is saying to post something that reflects your current status? Weird claim to make regardless considering bloodlet throne and space junk aren't that old but I understand with design things move quickly. Bloodlet throne has a lot of problems in my view and might as well not be a key map. Despite that I know the challenges of that design style so I can give you benefit of the doubt. Northern darkness is just bad man, it is a square. Like, LITERALLY a square. Come on man.
I want to see a map that uses the SA2:B GUN Death Egg aesthetic Someone either make it happen or pay me to spend 13 hours a day for the next week to make it happen
