I actually used to like his music, I have no idea what that tranwreck of an album was. There are songs he raps for like 30 seconds about titties and the song just goes on without rapping for the rest of the 2 minute song, the album hardly has any real rapping outside of like 2 songs in small bits. The album itself is only like 21 minutes long, and unlike an album like 808’s and heartbreak that actually sounds good with a small tracklist, it’s 20 minutes of tiny monologues with bland instrumentals. Of course because he is Kanye people will yell “bro it’s too deep for you to understand”. I thought it was pretty obvious his 400 years a slave comment was supposed to be a metaphor for people riding off of a victim complex. I mean the whole reason he was on TMZ was because of the drama he started by sharing that Candice Owens clip where she covers just that. (not saying I agree with her whatsoever, just trying to unpack his statement) Kanye has always been **** at articulating his thoughts into an easily digestible way, expecially when he's put on the spot. It always comes out absurd if you take it at face value. News outlets get paid based on how much **** they stir so its no surprise they took this A-list celeb's words literally and made him look as bad as possible. also I just realized that I have 2 copies of Swelter that people have bookmarked. One where the title is fixed and the other that still uses 1v1 temp. whoops lol ill fix the name on the older one but know that the new file, which I have currently bookmarked, has better lighting and a few fixed clambering areas.
I think I agree with everything he said within context. He's very scatterbrained, so it's hard to decipher what he's trying to get across at times, but it's extremely disingenuous to just tote around that comment and act like it's all he said. It sounds to me like he's trying to figure these things out for himself, and that he's trying to spell out that you are responsible for your reality. That's not the same as being guilty, and I agree with that sentiment, although I'm actually trying to relate to his thought processes instead of just quoting one sentence and taking it at face value, because that's what people who aren't assholes do. In any case, for all of you that like to constantly, and I mean constantly, judge and ridicule public figures who think aloud, or post a stupid tweet, or make any mistake, I think you need to look in a mirror. Literally every single one of you have said something just as stupid in your life, if not worse, but it wasn't broadcasted to a billion people because you haven't done anything important enough to warrant those people paying any attention to you. We all make mistakes, we all stay really stupid ****, we all do really stupid ****, especially when we're young. The only difference is that when you did some of that really stupid ****, nobody heard about it. People on the internet tend to recognize that we are inherently limited and flawed in just about every conceivable manner, but only recognize that fact when it's themselves that stumbled. You have been afforded the right to be an idiot by everyone around you without getting your head cut off because that's how people learn, and It's no different for anyone else. To consciously benefit from forgiveness, and then to deny others that same understanding, is hilariously arrogant, and straight up sinful I might add.
