Well theyre removing spartan charge and ground pound from hcs so i'd say were getting closer... At this rate we will be back to normal halo in only a couple decades.
At least with the two new maps being Forge, the inevitable balance issues can be solved in a day. A 4th Flag map was severely needed in the competitive scene, especially considering Fathom is hot garbage. Also, we have a pretty decent Strongholds map (Not that match-ups like Empire SH are hard to be better than). The two most offensive (heh, double meaning) Spartan Abilities are also gone, which gives a much needed stress reliever of no longer worrying about retard charges and out-of-nowhere man missiles. I can understand them not wanting to remove Sprint, because the drastic decrease in overall speed & pushes don't work on maps that have been designed with the kind of crazy traversing you can do. They're simply too open for any kind of Classic implementation; you have to create a whole new map set. So, even though the Forge community side is unhappy with not having any time to make some good designs, this is more of a positive gain than a negative loss. Also what the hell they're advocating playing Oddball on ****ing sym Guardian? What?
This is why nobody outside of the forge community takes us seriously. 343 does an absolutely abysmal job of incentivizing and implementing what could be a lot of free, high quality content for the community, and the people who do have connections just happen to be the forgers among us that like to make maps like this. It's like the breakout thing all over again, except at least a few okay forgers were told about that one. This time around, we get ****ing symmetrical guardian and guardian with a pelican ahahahahaha It's all a bad joke
The biggest joke of all is that at the end of the day, most of the good maps are going to be held back because of performance.
