    I'm never going to finish anything in this game. Too easily distracted. I swear, forge causes OCD in me. I can spend 2 hours trying to get the damn textures to line up reasonably well on merged objects. :tedium:

    Anyway, more random monstrosities...

    I'm using a keyboard for some of the menu options, because it's much faster to scroll through a drop-down menu. But yeah, for the actual object manipulation I'm using a controller.

    filter it for "MLG" or something that will cut the list way down, then the menu is less glitchy

    After I spawn an object and press A, the object disappears. Also, is there a forge canvas?

    Go to 'Map Options' and set 'Death Barrier' to 'Disabled'.

    No forge canvas, but there's a ton of room on all the maps I've tried so far. Skyboxes are interchangeable between maps (you can put Guardian's skybox on Sandtrap, for example). You can also move the skyboxes up or down. Weather and Fog settings are similar to H5.

    Last Resort looks to be good as a canvas over the water.

    Wish my laptop could run Halo Online but it seems not. Really need to build my PC...

    I can confirm this. The far-out ocean is pretty much Awash from H2A minus the shallow water.

    EDIT: Also quick tip for everyone else, entering "Forge.Canvas" into the console deletes every item on the map.

    lol, I think that's the editor version of "**** you *****!"

    Then again maybe my brain is just wired funny and the intention of Forge.Canvas is a blank Forge Canvas. Go figure. :D

    One thing I've gotten told a lot recently is to integrate verticality into my maps more, despite that fact that the designs for said maps currently reside on pieces of paper. It's hard to portray 3D environments on a 2D medium. But frankly, the sketches help me picture the layout better.

    Why is verticality so important that basically every platform needs to be a different height then any other? I don't get why people are so adamant about any floor having 3 different levels floating above it.

    Also, I have a pretty good H2A forge map, if anyone would like to try remaking it in ED (I don't have a PC). It's like a lava-cave-forge sorta deal. I'll upload some pics and a layout later if anyone's interested.

    Because of armor abilities I guess. H5 is a huge clamberfest.

    But there are far more bright design minds around here who can answer your question way better.

    I've done a lot before, but not in H5. Just wondering why it's so important, in this Halo. Sometimes, just two or three levels is enough, I think. But many people here disagree.
